@ulfgundarsson Son you need to step back and clear you head. It wasn't Clinton who did right...it was the fiscally responsible congress that made Clinton look good. He was failing his first two years in office. Then the Republicans took over congress and bam Clinton moves to the middle and secures his popularity. Had the republicans not taken control of congress .....I don't think Bill would have had two terms.

Regardless, he was funnier when he never attempted political humor in his younger days.

As he got old, his true democrat roots showed themselves and he couched almost every joke he could into a rant on republicans.

This took away from his entire shows of late, since I got used to his great comedy in years past when he never brougt politics into it.

@drakethick1 Yeah well in the 80's and 90's he was flagrantly democrat. Luckily, though, in his last few years he started to dismiss both sides and took a neutral view. The problem is that any kind of radical thinking latches on to the democrat side of things, which isn't how it should be. Political jokes really limit the comedian's audience.

As long as a comedian tries to crack wise against conservatives in general, that's a pretty safe stance for them. The media is quite accepting of hate as long as it's directed against conservatives. So comedians that joke about raping conservative women and referring to conservative blacks by derogatory terms, this is ok.

But as long as they joke, even a little, about the libs, this somehow makes it a wash... they're "unbiased" then.

Clinton would have made GREAT material for carlin but I can't find any shows where he concentrated his aim at willy. Why is this?

But he ran out of material, I guess, and fell into the standard audience ready to hate. They're always there and ready to hate, insult, even kill in the name of compassion.
