This is how i straighten my hair, but i use a rattail comb. I used to think i was the only one who did this. Oh boo.

@lelerox141 Technically, it is straight - she just has a lot of hair that makes it 'poofy'. Either way around, I like it that way. I don't like hair that's straight to your head, it looks weird. (: Just in my opinion.

my mom who is Puerto Rican, call that wrap a doobie due. lol I used to do alot of those for when straighting my hair. You sleep with it and it just comes out so smooth, sliky, and straight.

Try using Frederick Fekkai as a heat protectant. Its the best! It smooths and shines and makes your hair dry faster and makes it really feel like silk.

I have curly hair and i get it layered and towards the end i ask them to cut my hair so it cascades down the back into a V shape. This stops the Pyramid effect. It looks nice when it is straight and also when it is curly it gives it a nice effect.

Like you said you should get layers, your hair is already beautiful but layers are recommended for curly hair. When i was young I had long curly hair without layers and my hair had that pyramid effect LOL

@MsNathalie10 to do a "dubie" I divide my hair in half and brush one side up and start wrapping. This way you don't get a mess in the middle of your head. I use the metal duckbill clips sold at sally's, the booby pins leave marks on my hair. Put pins from the center down and bottom up. After a few hours I chagee it to the other side.
