I've always had a massive problem with this teaching that hell is not forever, I hope it isn't as I wouldn't even wish it on Hitler despite what he did. But the same terminology used for the length of hell is also used for heaven, so to be consistant and fair it seems it is forever, both states. Dunno.
@Nirky - Doubt that, but if it is true, it proves that there are several burn times meaning the fire can't be normal because if it is, it would take a matter of milli seconds being so hot. Persoanlly I'm thinking the various punishments are varying heats. People of Sodom and Gomorrah may be ashes but who's to say there SOALS arn't are won't be burning forever.

which makes me think they know the truth but don't follow it wholeheartedly
