After Effects tutorial, simple underwater text, part1

Please answer: I created the water and set all the setting as you indicated, then I created the layer that is later to be selected as water surface. That is the layer you called White Solid 1. I applied Fractal Noise on 'White Solid 1', and set the perimeters as you indicated, including setting Evolution to 5. I moved the playhead back and forth, it remind still. Why is that?

Above all one thank you for your tutorial, I succeeded well but I have a problem when I type the text on the layer effect. When I place in the time line, the text under the layer effect at this moment there I have the same text the one on the other one, that of the wavy bottom and that of the motionless, sorry top if the terms are not correct but I do not speak English well and I use a site of translation thank you very much and in very soon I hope
