I have lived and worked in London briefly a few years ago. Used to live on Forburg Road, in Hackney, I believe. I did not care much for London. English people told me that it would have been a whole different experience if I had moved to the countryside instead. But again, moving to a place and working is one thing, and going on vacation is completely different. I would have enjoyed a vacation there, without all the rush and worrying about bills and surviving there! Hope you enjoyed it, Sarah.
Really? What type of work did you do there? Oh yes, going on vacation and working are complelty different. I think that too, maybe less hustle and bustle? Or maybe it's the fresher air?? Not really sure.
At first, I got me a job delivering newspapers all over town in the morning with a bunch of Polish people. It sucked, big time. Then I worked as a dishwasher for a while. Later, I worked at a pizza spot called Go-Go Pizza, with a bunch of Iranians, lol! They treated me like dirt and didn't pay me. I called the immigration on them though, bastards! After that I came back to the states, to Florida. Oh yeah, less hustle, because on vacation, it's all about relaxing and exploring, then you enjoy it.
What made you want to go over and live in London? Hope it's not personal, because when I was there I thought it would be nice to live somwhere over there.
Eh, thats not good, I could see where you would want to be home after that!
My contract with the military was over in Germany, so I got laid off. I didn't save enough money and winded up broke, without speaking the language out there in Germany. Didn't even had money to come back home. Then I went to England, well, because they speak English, so I thought I could save some money there to go back home. I originally wanted to remain for a year, but after a couple of months I had enough and managed to leave. When I got to Florida, it was one of the happiest days of my life
