I love this video so much, about as much as I love Bette. The song is so hauntingly beautiful. I can close my eyes and picture wartime scenes and the world without sound going on around us, and the words of this song... make out worldy condition even more prevalent. Prayer... we need prayer so much. Human kindness and we must remain servants willing to put others first , helping each other. Heavenly Father... have mercy.

Makes me cry every time. "Human kindness is overflowing" is meant to be taken ironically I believe, given the rest of the song. The tone is not happy and that line is not uplifting. . .it just shows that their are so many out there who need kindness or are forced by circumstance to rely on the kindness of others making those people feel horrible inside. They cannot help the needy; they are the needy and the Lord helps those who help themselves. Survival then is their only option.
