This was the first country to not have an official religion, and for a reason. Christians never had America, there is nothing to take BACK. @Harlembutterfly1969 Liberals are not Republicans, nor vise versa. The South seceeded because a Republican (the first) was elected, who was anti-slavery. The South (democrats) had no legitimate cause to commit treason. They had free labor at the expense of violating humanity. After the war, Congress passed a law stating blacks had the right to vote, but the Southern democrats violated that law until the more recent Civil Rights Act. Then they manipulated blacks with free hand-outs for votes.

While we can debate about which party had allegiance to Blacks and the poor years ago...It is clear who now wants war (which affects the poor), welfare cuts, social service depletions, unemployment cuts, less tax cuts for the rich, more assistance to big businesses, more jobs oversees...should I go on? See reality is only 10% of this country is rich. The rest are living check to check. I'm with the current party that relates to all Americans-period.

@Harlembutterfly1969 Uh, Jim Crow was started by democrats, slavery was instituted by democrats, the KKK was started by democrats, Southern democrats seceeded from the Union, Southern democrats lynched blacks, put up the 'whites only' signs and made laws that violated the rights and liberties of blacks, democrats who deceived blacks into being dependent on the govt. but was republicans who fought and died to free them, who did free them and gave voting rights to them.

America never "held the bible" All founding fathers believed in a separation of church and state, as well as freedom of religion. You miss the entire point of being American. This was the first country to not have an official religion, and for a reason. Christians never had America, there is nothing to take BACK. America if America because we have Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Agnostics, and every other religion. It is a FREE country, not one under a Christian rule.

@Harlembutterfly1969 Liberals are not Republicans, nor vise versa. The South seceeded because a Republican (the first) was elected, who was anti-slavery. The South (democrats) had no legitimate cause to commit treason. They had free labor at the expense of violating humanity. After the war, Congress passed a law stating blacks had the right to vote, but the Southern democrats violated that law until the more recent Civil Rights Act. Then they manipulated blacks with free hand-outs for votes.

Recent history as of the 80's starting with Reagan and his trickle down economics which never reached the middle-class or poor started a snowball effect that continued up until George W Sr. and Jr.

By turning America into a theocracy (that means being "guided by a supreme being"), then the US is no longer a free country, and the seperation of church and state crumbles.

We need to take back our once great nation back indeed. But, and not to be pessimistic here, but I'm afraid it's inevitable that America will fall...I believe that we are near the end times and that this falling away is part of it. Sad, but true.
