  • Very true, & a good example of why many systems get watered down or just don't work as well in a ring or on the street.

  • Darting mace would fit nicely also :)

  • prettty cool! always like when somebody says " it just won't happen that way , but.." because thats where the good stuff comes in. i understand when kenpo gets a bad rap for being static, but theres so much good stuff there it's a shame to turn a blind eye to it. mr. bulot is doing the art a great service here

  • they will either grab or evade, those are the two. mostly evade

  • Your Crossing Talon is also superior (especially the front to back switch being specifically emphasized, thanx sir!) but likewise suffers from a lack of insufficient leveraging. A wrestler's 2 on one+judoka-like tai-otoshi snap down and forward+front to back switch+hammerfist block could do it,though.

  • This THE BEST 5 SWORDS TO CROSSING TALON COMBO I HAVE SEEN ON THE NET PERIOD. Congrats, sir. But having said that,I must say: the fatal flaw of the 5 Sword base technique (ignoring the left hand of our opponent, not training our opposite side as a base, ignoring opportunities to use 5 Swords v armed and/or multiple assailants, ignoring the possibility of flank attacks, not employing 5 Swords after basic blocks, bobs, weaves, during standing and ground grappling) are still there.

  • Tim is not a bad word he is all about the good word hes teaching people unlike you casa who is teaching no one but just a very wicked tongue and your thoughts are from a demon feeding you that chaos from your mouth tim is awesome and his name is Tim Bulot not just Tim thanks for sharing.

  • I was told when Joining the mormon church at the age of 30 that they would always be there when i need them . Wow can i take that back please i really dont need them anymore just continue with my personal relationship with my lord Jesus Christ which alot of you do not know because have not experienced the spirtual realm the way i have. How ever people who have taken drugs have experienced that spirtual realm its there choice to believe in its real or not.

  • Steve Spry was my instructor when i was teenager i remember i did not have the money for my purple belt so i dropped out. my choice. I then took Akido with a christian instructor who had a bald head and shiny white goatee he was awesome and i just stayed as a white belt for a bout a couple of months. Then i started to teaching my self my own concepts and this is when i also started digging into history and the mormons came in right around the age of 27

  • You got it Bill! Hope to see you guys soon.

    Thanks, Tim

  • Hey Tim. When you come back to Dallas again, come and see us at Nemo's.

What is the name of this series on your site? I'd like to get it.

  • this is brilliant. i am looking to purchase your dvds sir.

  • A sensible kenpo video, there are too few of these out there.

  • Well examined concept. I realized the same thing about most Martial Arts lessons when I was younger. When I was 15 I began redesigning techniques and then tested them out with other Martial Artists. Went really well. I also redesigned a few that were too dangerous to actually use. Made them a bit less lethal or damaging. I don't like hurting people.

  • Disregard that last comment, Tim. I found the website with your videos now available on dvd. :D

  • Mr. Bulot, are your videos still available anywhere for purchase? I remember seeing an ad in Black Belt magazine back in the early to mid 90's but at the time I couldn't get them. I would love to buy them, the info. you have seems to be more nitty gritty than what other instructors teach.

  • you are so right sir.

  • Don't feed this asshole, Tim. He's a kid that needs to get laid. Next thing he'll do is challenge you to a fight and then no show like he did to me. Just block his ass like I did.

  • Thanks Cliff, not worried about it at all. Got better things to do then concern myself with this. Always good to hear from you. Tim

  • Tim is right!!! Most Parker students and Instructor's still don't understand body reaction. If Parker was here he would change his techniques. I personally like the Black Karate Federation Kenpo "System" . They are the most practical I've seen out of all the Kenpo "styles", so far.

  • Mr. Bulot was my instructor until I moved, I liked & respected him greatly.

  • bacano bacano

  • Not true Kenpo!

  • I am sorry but you are incorrect. Perhaps you are familiar with the Chinese Kenpo which is different. This is Ed Parker American Kenpo taught by an excellent instructor who studied with Larry Tatum. Larry Tatum was taught by Ed Parker.

  • Tim, men more offen than not grab or slap women first as opposed to hitting them with a closed fist. When I was in Hawaii, I taught crossing talon to my girlfriend Myko. She used it on a guy who grabbed her by the forarm in a bar...took him right down. I've been grabbed first from the front and back. I'm glad I learned the Ideal phase first. Then went to the what if. Glad you're thinkin though.

  • Anytime, Anywhere pal.

  • thats my stepdad

  • Tim Bulot? Really?

  • well if the guy try to stole your wactch????

    lol

  • This guy makes a lot of sense.

  • this is a great video

  • This is very true
