  • Xcellent vid! Wang Chung epitomizes the depth of the 80's!

  • Wang Chung permeates almost every frame of TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA.

Along with John Barry's work on BODY HEAT, possibly one of the two damn finest soundtracks of the '80s?

  • I love this song: every time I hear it, a creep runs through my backbone.

    Wang Chung are great!

Thanks for this rare live video! I owe you!

  • If anyone has noticed, you will notice a very cool amazing drummer behind the Kit. The drummer is Bryan Hitt, aka now the drummer of REO Speedwagon

  • killer

  • the guitar works are awesome to play... wow this live version is great

  • Should have been bigger. Are They still around ?

  • This band was much better than their pop hits suggested....great post ..thanks....

  • Perfect song and performance.

  • Love it! I think this was an MTV taping from back in the day that I still have somewhere packed away in a box. Post more songs from this concert if you have them! Thanks!!

  • just saw Wang Chung last night at Norwalk Oyster Festival..excellent time!

  • Hmmmm.... they don't look Chinese....

Just kidding -- I love this group.

  • I remebering taping this off MTV when they showed vids.

  • woww, great band, great video, this song is truly timeless. PLEASE post the entire video!

  • i wish i had this whole performance on tape still. this whole thing rocked. where can we get the whole recording. they did look at me now which was even better than the album version. from what i remember.

  • Wait is the best track off that album/soundtrack.

  • Wow..such a great song. Maybe a little to great for top40 (hence it narrowly missed way back when..). But such songcraft. It is perfect. If anyone knows who was in the live band at that time Id like to know..all very skilled people. So happy Wang Chung is back in 2010, and touring. Missed them so much. Always great Live.

  • Fantastic! Thanks!! Remember buying the album on vinyl imported from US in 86 and being blown away!!

  • i watched that movie when i was just a teen. after watching that movie, i could never watch a teen movie again. i guess you can say i was hooked on movies with adult themes. awesome vid, thks for sharing.

  • great vid. great then, great now. thks for sharing.

  • Is Wang Chung still around?

I bet they would rock even today. WEll, rock isn't quite the right word..

  • Everytime I hear this great song it takes me back to the 80's when I was driving in LA listening to this and it mirrored exactly what I was feeling. But I'm still here so go figure...

  • Dude that was GREAT!!! thanks for posting

  • Great song. Always thought Jack Hues looked like a softer version of Sting.

  • Saw this film when it was released, back then I was working as a printer. LOL

  • Don't forget the poker chips!!

  • trying to recognize the drummer but no clue....

  • I'm pretty sure the drummer is Brian Hitt...he later played for REO Speedwagon.

  • Michael (Mikal) Reid is one incredible guitar player. Lots of great nights in Birmingham with Hotel. Miss hearing you, brother.

  • I love this song and it was a good movie too...Wang Chung rocks!

  • Very nice!

This performance gives this title-hit an alternative melodic AOR mode.

  • I miss the 80's!

  • awesome awesome awesome. These guys were fantastic live. Saw them in 1984 in San Francisco

  • Great great song ........captures the sentiment and pathos of the move perfectly

  • Thank you so much i love to live and die in l.a and i love wang chung that much more.

  • Aaaaaaaahhh!!

  • That's because you have great 80's taste, PMCcty!

Yeah, this is one, I never ever get tired of hearing. Another 80's gem!

  • Music style sounds so far away now but that must be some invitation to revisit W. Friedkin's movie ... which is a real "must have" !!!

  • i'm an 80s boy didn't realize how good these guys were
