It is sweet to trust in Jesus. He is alive in the Spirit and we must trust in Him in the Spirit. If you only trust in Him from the bible then you are not really trusting in Him, you are just hoping from history. So please seek Him in the Spirit and get to KNOW the Real Jesus, not just an image of Him in your mind from the bible.

I believe that the hymn is about belief, repenting, confession and immersion where sins are washed away Acts 2:38, Gal 3;26, Mrk 16:15-16 and Matt 28:18-10. The blood is contacted by faith in passive obedience in the water.  See Peter's epistles.

i have got to say i have been going through a tough time right now with one of my friends well we arnt friends i wanted to become a better christian and she had fallen away and for a long time i preyed for her and i ask her a question and she got an attitude and it went down hill from there,now she is all like iam srry but i dont know if i want to still tlk to her i mean she said some prity nasy things so asked jesus what i should do and iam still not sure but i trust him to guid me to do rite!!

Thanks so much for all these wonderful videos. It reminds me of when I was growing up. My Mom, Dad and I would sit at the kitchen table after supper and go thru our Baptist hymnal and sing one hymn after another for hours....oh, how I miss those times. Now, I sit at the computer and sing along with the videos and think about my Mom and Dad and know that they are in Heaven with the Lord singing hymns along with me again. God meant man to sing with the voice. With it we encourage each other and offer our praise to God. The early church, which could have instruments, did not use them. They followed the Apostolic teahing of Col 3 and Eph 3.

What doe the Greek word psalmos mean, in Col 3:16? Paul contrasts this with hymns (humnos) and spiritual songs (ode). It is apparent from the context that these three things are different. So please, do explain what a psalm is.

Hello Michael. Psalmos of course is grk for Psalms. They were the Psalms of David sung in the early church as in the OT. The diff is this, in the OT they were COMMANDED to use the instrument and in the New there is none, we are commanded to sing and make the melody in the heart (location). We do not have any history of instruments of early church until about 600 AD or so.
