Preah peay phat is a tragic love story between Kong Sam oeun (Chhorvon)and Vichara (Preah peay phat) around two songs that become cults: Som snè preah peay phat & Sam léng khmos ka. However, Kong Sam oeun resolves to swap superstar Vichara against Phuong phavy, by absolute necessity. As the film's title suggests, Vichara is gone with the wind that separates her definitively from Kong Sam oeun, when a day, both parties've learned the terrible good news: Chhorvon is the brother of Preah peay phat.

In fact, I'm a simply passionate of movies in 70's and I'd like to share this passion with the new generation,to transmit them what I know and pay tribute to our dead actors & actresses.
During the KR time,I worked as logger in the flooded bush of Battambang (Prey Roneam). We were a dozen. Far from Angka, we sang songs cinema. For my part, I told them before each bedtime, my favorite films, khmer & SB (Shaw Brothers) movies.
Khmer movies always seem to have either a tragic story or a really goofy story or a mixture of both. I guess love stories with a happy ending doesn't sell very well.
