I had heard that metaknight is top tier because he has no counters.

@Benjaminy2k I never understood that. Lucario is an obvious counter. Metaknight excels in dealing damage, but has trouble with KO's. Lucario gets stronger the higher damage he is. Lucario is the bane of Meta's existence.

@shadowspark Lol sorry to disappoint you, but Lucario is nowhere NEAR a Meta Knight counter. I can understand where you're coming from, but Lucario thrives on combos, which he can not complete on Meta Knight. Meta Knight is GREAT at KO's, either downsmash or easy dair gimping, or even Forward Smash mindgames. Meta Knight is also wayy too mobile for Lucario to handle, and get a hold of. Meta Knight has NO Counterpicks whatsoever. The only char who has potential of being one is Pikachu.

OK, teirs make no sense at all! so people say meta knight is good, that doesnt mean you automaticly own with him and every other charector sucks.

tiers is determined with the amount of wins in tourneys with a certain characters when facing other characters. Metaknight is great because he counters a lot of characters ( especially Olimar ). No character sucks but differing match ups DO exist ( good, or bad ). You would not like to face a Metaknight when you're using ganondorf, compared to facing like Yoshi or something
