Well I watch it a few times in my oppinion the jurdge is wrong and it sould be a ipon. (I think 999 of the 1000 times you get a ipon for this trow) He was full in the air, he landed on his lower back and left shoulder If you watch closley you see his opponent is a little off the world and need to take a deep breath ;) so realy this is Ipon

dude, watch other matches, especially highlights from other competitions. if you compare those to this clip, you'd agree that it should have been an ippon.

Dude(??), I needn't watch other matches. I've been in the sport since 1980, I know what an ippon is. It was a perfect trow, no question about that. If I was the ref, I'd score an ippon! But I gave the video 15-20 runs, and then changed my opinion: so to my opinion it's not an ippon. It's old-school scoring.

Of course there have been given ippons for lessers ground-contact, I agree with you on that matter, dude.

they can, yes. they might claim for a higher score, if the main one doesn't correct it, they stand up. if not yet, they start walking to the center until the main one changes the score.

listen, i don't know when or whether you've ever been in actual competition but you can watch this vid some hundred times and it doesn't change the fact that any judge in nowadays tornament who doesn't score ippon for this throw is either incompetent or senile. i don't care what score they'd given decades ago, this is today's tournament and today's rules. and if i have to chose between neil adams' (he's commentating by the way) and your opinion then there's no doubt which one i'd trust.

what i mean is yuko is with side but this was even further so its ippon

ippon may be even if he falls on his side but not the yuko side the one which is further than ippon
