Can you play it without the capo?

yes, just play the same chords as i'm playing...so instead of playing the first chord as 0-4-6-6-0-0, play it without the capo 0-2-4-4-0-0...in other words, just move everything down 2 frets.

But, if you do, it will sound lower and you won't be able to play along with the song (or this video), because it will be in a different key.
