  • so its a time lapse of the ice melting and he couldn't touch it coz then it would expose the time lapse. Its boring once you know.... next fake vid please.

  • The water holds its shape by sudden thermal formation and when his finger gets close to the water, the warmth from his finger tips end up getting absorbed by the water, thus braking the thermal formation structure duh!!

    Anyone knows this!

  • Well thats easy, Obviously you guys didnt see it!, How about a thin layer Ice Glass under the real glass, which makes it to be floating water, and then Ice melting makes a hole in the ice glass which makes the water fall because air has untered the glass! that could be the truth!

  • noooooo! he edited it and saw the edit fail and came up with another way to say its awsome!r

  • when you have been around long enough you would know this was fake with no question. interesting hoax however...

  • Why does everyone keep saying its fake =.= you need to delete this...

  • its not fake its just ice

  • i did it once but it was only for like 10 seconds that it worked and you have to use a plastic cup with spray non-stick solution like pam to get it to work. try it out!

  • Ice. Looked at this for 40 seconds!

  • NAH REALLY??? I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL DERP HURP

  • why would you believe it in the first place?

  • the water tension keeps it together for while, while its spinning

  • It was fine till it took an arrow to the knee

  • @tupos derp

  • Do people actually sit and fucking try this....

  • dude -_- please if its fake so what?? its awesome anyway if you hate it dont watch it.. still its awesome

  • in the future everybody show this video to their child and make fun of with it.

  • hahahahahahahah he never wanted to touch it you idiot! he wanted to shou you that this isn't a double shot !!! hahahahah

  • The idea was the introduction of heat from his palm not by touching it.

  • It WAS suspended, until some A-hole opened up a portal right underneath it.

  • frozen?

  • its not even animation i do it now :)

  • It went down because the black pointer hit it

  • that is like magic!

  • Actually, water would be very sensitive to it's surrounding especially because they take things shape, therefore the momentum and ability to sustain gravity at that amount of force, clearly means after a few seconds of constant motion, the water would be due to splashing once gravity overpowered it, but the disruption of his motion towards the water cause it to reformat and take the counter's shape which was ending in a splash.

  • @iiDeadlyVortex all of that its complete bullshit xD "...therefore the momentum and ability to sustain gravity at that amount of force..." makes no sense D:

  • maybe it stopped twisting

  • well, all i can say is he didnt have to touch it. im not saying im a chemistry major but the force applied by the air was probably enough.

  • The water is obviously supporting itself because it is still spinning. The angular momentum keeps it suspended. As soon as it slows down enough, it falls. Touching the water has nothing to do with it. Do your research before trying to disprove something next time.

  • hey not to be mean but it is possible y?? my brother did it in his high school science class and worked

  • ...Nothing is impossible difficult but not impossible....

  • Umm, I think everyone but you already knew it was fake. I mean, a basic understanding of physics proves that.

  • and what about the sunlight passing through the water?? on the counter?? notice that

  • Does that water look animated to you?

  • @aGoatTriedToEatMe If you take a look at his profile, he's a computer animator. Didn't Cameron do this type of thing in the Abyss? About 20 years ago?

  • or the electricity of our fingers. in this case his fingers collapsed the water

  • Are you mad? No one was 'duped' only stipid dumb-asses.

  • My friend believed it was possible. He even pretended to be a physicist for a few minutes. He was such a twit. Good thing he succumbed to logic :D

  • Is there anyone who actually believed this trick was possible? Seriously?

  • @VoxMot if you were to cause a (however minute) vacuum within the cup, the water could easily spin with the cup (again, surface tension). I am not claiming whether or not this trick does work. Just use what your teachers in high school taught you! USE YOUR BWWAAAIIINNNNZZZZ.

  • I AM DISAPPOINT. All the preceding comments fail to examine a connection between centriputal force and surface tension. Not to mention the water is spinning (think inertia). Without actually trying it, you'll never see the answer.

  • very simple

    1. take glass cup and put it in freezer for about an hour

    2. take cup fill it with water put it back in freezer ..

    3. wait 30 min check if its frozen if not check back every 10 min

end result the top and sides will be frozen but middle be water.. not fake .. just little "magic" trick .. just like instant freezing water

  • lol people are seriously trying this at home wasting fresh water n shit....

    STOP ITS FAKE

  • are you all insane. water can't stay in the form of a glass. it's the laws of nature. it has to be computer imaging. what the hell is body heat going to do? it doesn't have any force with in it, his body heat doesn't have some sort of telekinetic force. think.

  • It's his body heat that makes the water spill all over

  • I actually did it.... IT DOES TAKE A WHILE

  • here's a thought...maybe the water slowed down and stopped spinning...BEFORE HIS FINGER GOT TO IT :OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • how in the world do u do this it dont work

  • thats because it was a disturbance

  • this other retard on utube did it with ice. lol, this is real water tho right? i guess cuz its spinning.... but just to clarify

  • doubt its real ..... like if you want another video for evidence !!!

  • This trick is real.... The water will eventually collapse on it's own no matter what.

  • Yeah you can tell it's fake because he doesn't actually touch the water. Not like it violates the laws of physics or anything.

  • @VoxMot its real, the spinning motion of the cup makes a whirlpool inside keeping the center of gravity inside the water making it remain shape.

When the spinning stops it will fall or when it is disrupted

  • @laynecaffy Just to clarify: it doesn't violate the laws of physics if you make them up as you go. You're obviously just guessing about this so lets see if I can help you in the right direction.

Go get a cup of water, put a small ice cube in the cup. Now turn the cup. You'll notice the ice cube stays where it is for the most part. The spinning motion of the cup doesn't do jack to the water. The rest of what you said is wrong too, I'm just not willing to spend that much time on a troll/moron.

  • @VoxMot yes i was guessing, doesn't mean you have to be an asshole to everyone who didn't take physics class.

instead of fucking argueing to anyone who thought this was possible try doing something else.

  • you just owe me 1:18 seconds of my life

  • yay lets comment and imagine we know something about chemestry

  • @ffxfriki what about physics? that is what this video is mostly about. Go easy on the sarcasm when you aren't completely sure what you want to convey...

  • @DrekenShark His body heat made the water collapse or it just doesn't last very long. We will wait and see when mythbusters test it.

  • @DrekenShark This has a lot to do with surface tension but that can also be described by chemistry and how on the surface the bonds between water molecules are stronger than in the center.

  • @DrekenShark You're an idiot. He doesn't have to touch it, it was suspended because of the spinning motion of the water. So, the water stops spinning and is no longer suspended.

  • @DrekenShark actually u fucking moron in chemistry you learn that liquid takes the shape of its container thus proving this is imposible on account of the fact that the liquid basically has no container unless you count the room ,but theres really not that much water so you get what i mean and also proving you dont know what the word convey mean :D

  • @ffxfriki *chemistry

  • @ffxfriki how about we comment and imagine we know something about spelling?

  • @ffxfriki yay lets pretend like we know something about what we cant even spell.

    C H E M I S T R Y dip shit.......go read a book.

  • @ffxfriki yay lets comment and imagine we know how to spell chemistry

  • my unkel did it -_-

  • Who... who was duped?

  • It worked for me... just jelly cause you cant figure out how to do it, and I am not sharing the secret. I am just gonna keep using it to win bets at bars and bag chicks, ( they love this shit!)

  • Honestly, who HASN'T worked it out? Yes, it's a neat effect that is all but obviously fake and requires one viewing to work out. You mean there are people that were ""actually"" tricked by it? LMFAO :D:D:D

  • Hey, everyone... of course its fake! Whoever thinks its not, just think about gravity. And i could do that speacial effect in my sleep

  • @dubjy7 No its called surface tension look it up ;D

  • @BottomsUp999 uhh no its actually gravity, if there was no gravity that would be possible... duhh

  • @dubjy7 you obviously not take biology yet

  • me and my friend tried for about 2 hours...thank you for telling us it is fake...

  • Dumb ass his finger did nt even touch the water and dude do u think water can stay that way for ever???

  • i still remember it (just a minute ago)

  • 154 people tried thisXD LIKE???:D

  • all this is real the reason it collapsed is coz the kids finger created air and the air hit the water!!

  • It is not only water, it is frozen at the outside, a thin layer of ice broke after touching it

  • Comment removed

  • Ice !!!!!!!

  • i think its a fake

    thumbs up if you argree

    thumbs down if you disagree

  • umm he disrupted the wind gathered around it slowing down the speed of the water hereby causeing the water to collaps

  • how come it sounded like ice when it fell?

  • YOU THINK THAT SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE THIS WITH SPECIAL EFFECTS DID NOT THINK ABOUT MAKING IT LOOK LIKE HIS FINGER REALLY TOUCHED THE WATER!?!?!?!?!??! !! ?!?!

    I HATE MANKIND

  • realflow realflow, ...and, realflow

  • I will bet my tits the guy who made this video is American.

    AuGwaRRaRawprrp water water and stuff

  • Da water had to break at sum point dERRrRRr ya DERP

  • Wouldn't the spin you put on the glass perpetuate the waters need to escape the shape of the glass? Like the spin cycle in the washer?? Just sayin??

  • dude,he used his soundwave trick from one of his other video to disturb the water flow.i think it's when you move your fingers in a specific order/manner it throw a soundwave blast,a bit like a kamehameha

  • dude his body heat disturbed the water and it collapsed...dumb ass

  • @haybaybayily hahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahahah not remotely close

  • @haybaybayily lol so you think that it's possible? Good luck ;) bet you can't do it huh?

  • ok ill defend this, you dont have to touch it, rotation will rapidly fall in liquids making the gyroscopic stability 0, making the water fall,

i am still not convinced if this is trick is plausible, im just telling that it is not necesary to touch it in order for it to fall down on it's own.

  • you are all morons. As if the water would stand like that forever if you wouldn't touch it.

  • that is impossible

    liquid has no definite shape

  • It IS posiable! I tried that!!!

  • VFX Realflow + 3D camera tracking/ Boujou + material/light setup + render = Water Trick

  • Thank u I was about 2 try this lol

  • You are soooo dumb for taking the time to make this video... He doesnt have to touch the water to make it fall.. It falls because there wasn't enough speed in the water rotation.

  • haha.. no shit Sherlock.. When you say "duped us all".. I think you speak for yourself.. lol.

  • Why don't you just tell me there is no Santa Clause while your at it or there is no gold at the end of a rainbow. Which by the way I will get. You just don't have the necessary muscle co-ordination to get the required 21.763 mph counter clockwise spin in a 32 degree left right south north motion. You sir are a failure. Oh and you have to do it on your computer for best results.

  • i think it's a fake. if the water is spinning, wouldn't the water will be pushed aside because of centrifugal force?

  • It doesn't mean anything ... its called surface tension. Look it up

  • Erm, nothing spins or stays suspended forever. I'm pretty sure it just stopped spinning enough to hold itself together before he got the chance to break it. If it's true.

  • @JarSqwuid you're fucking retarded, nothing as a liquid can keep its form without a container even if it spinning at a batrillion miles per hour................. balls.

  • @DenizB112 You're fucking retarded. See /watch?v=vCeAfKCC2ng

    Not even spinning.

  • @JarSqwuid i could honestly care less, i saw someone say something about the water spinning so i threw it in there

  • Hello, I dont really know if the trick is real, and I also dont know if what im about to tell you is the real reason but, the bonds in water got an electric nature and you can break it without touching them directly. Sory my bad english, thats the reason cause i can´t explain my self correctly

  • i dont care if its fake it looks cool :)

  • is this fake?

  • your retarded it collapsed cause the water stopped spinning

  • @GrassCityGaming its fake u little bitch

  • @GrassCityGaming LMAO, how old are you? 2 or you never went to school, so you are the retard LOL

  • @Simpliey I can't understand your sentence. I'd suggest going to school, you might learn sentence flow and grammar.

  • @BraidenFerguson Coming from a guy who thinks liquid can stay in a particular shape with out a container, real smart :)

  • @Simpliey Hurrrrdurrrrrr oh I so sorry. I no mean to offend. I bow down. Oh wait, I never did mention anything about me believing the video now did I? Hmm. Please don't embarrass yourself by putting words into people's mouths just so you can fortify your own point. I mean you watched this video, which of course means, you're saying you believe it too. So yeah, see how your logic works? It doesn't. Derp

  • @BraidenFerguson Never put words in anyone's mouth, and your the one who's embarrassing your self by trying to act like a intelligent human being, after what you said above. Which in my perspective, your not... lol and I'd suggest you stop putting large and meaning less words into your sentence because it just makes you look like a total.. erm... Douche-bag?

  • @Simpliey The only word I used that could possibly be considered large was "fortify," which is sad since it isn't large at all. Right now you're just continuing this argument because you're doing you're best to stray from the point which you obviously realized you were wrong in. and for the record:

you're* yourself* an* (no comma)* (comma after which)* you're* meaningless*

Seeing as you were attempting to look and sound smart, I figure I'd help you fix mechanical errors you constantly make.

  • @BraidenFerguson I'd knew you say that.

  • @Simpliey I bet you did. And I was fairly certain you would say something like that as well, since you refuse to stay on topics that you can't back up.

  • @BraidenFerguson Yup, because I said what I said to this guy: GrassCityGaming and you're obviously not him... I don't even know why I was arguing with you :/

  • @Simpliey I jut thought it wrong for you to make horrible judgements upon people for giving their opinion on something about how they thought it worked.

  • @BraidenFerguson I think I misjudged you, you seem like a cool guy and totally not a penis :) and for that guy. Sometimes it's good to be harsh; when their about the make a similar comments they can re-consider what their typing, also I'm not taking 'away' their right to say what's on their mind I'm just.. can't find the right word to describe it .. :(

  • @GrassCityGaming You sound retarded for actually agruing the legitimacy of such an obviously fake video. How the hell would the fact that it's spinning make any difference? Did you forget about gravity or something?

  • @pyro251086 you can defy gravity by spinning, you know.

the reason it's definitely fake is because the water molecules would move outwards as they spin and it wouldn't retain it's glass-shape like that for such a long time for that reason because they are all joined by forces

  • @nishihs I'm aware of the principle of centrifugal force, if anything that would work against what this video is trying to claim to be possible. Since centrifugal force pushes things outwards, not inwards.

  • @GrassCityGaming when some thing spins. centripetal forces makes things go away from the center. NOT into it or stay in place, genius

  • @casketgrind oh well, genius, centripetal makes things go TOWARDS the center. centrifugal means center-fleeing and describes when things are being pushed AWAY from the center. however, it is not a real force.

    simple physics, my friend.

next time get your facts straight before you try to make someone else sound like an idiot because you just did it to yourself.

  • @rickrollerify Nonsense, centrifugal force exists for observers in a rotating frame of reference.

  • @AnarchisticLeper and we can assume his spin is strong enough to generate centrifugal force strong enough for the water to maintain it's shape, also completely ignoring the water flow and gravity. I also have superman's hands. another obvious problem here is how he lifted the cup off without a single drop escaping. the air pressure alone would gush into the cup and generate push onto the water, thus disturbing whatever superstrong centrifugal force you have going and causing a mini typhoon.

  • @Melablood I wasn't supporting the trick, merely pointing out that it's fallacious to claim that centrifugal force doesn't exist.

  • @AnarchisticLeper actually it depends on how you look at it.

  • just..... lol

  • no I actually did it if you boil it and then put salt in it along with some certain household detergents you can increase the surace tension!

  • dude your so stupid is that wat people like u do just going around looking at videos and trying to prove them wrong

  • Dammit!

  • i still think it is true. but he has a point :P

  • i'm pretty sure that water without can't sustain forever so it could've lost it's balance to sustain itself before he even touched it...

  • Right that is a very good point but

  • Actually it is quite possible... He left out the part where you freeze the cup of water just so to where the outer is frozen and not one inner... Duhhh :)))

  • The hand is not required to make direct contact. If you put a drop of water on a table and slowly move your finger towards it, you will find that once you get too close, the water will touch your finger before you reach the drop. This is due to the gravitational pull between the two. In this particular video, the hand moves too close to the water and disturbs the surface tension of the water and causes it to collapse. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you make assumptions.

  • @pggraphite Are you fucking stupid! , its impossible

  • fuck all that damn water i wasted

  • lool its not camera effects its just plastic

  • He didn't have to touch it, it's not like if he doesn't touch it the water will keep spinning forever it has to fall at some point, wether it needs help or not.

  • ok its a fake but its a great video? why people dislike this?

  • Did u even read the category films and animation it's not real

  • it wasn't because he pretended to touch it, it's because the water stopped spinning, look closer.

  • you guys it water + it is possible you now why the guy is a water bender or god

know wonder it is a water trick or its ice or he just edited it just kidding its real or not

  • GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) good thing i watched this video before i tried it!

    Thank u

  • Ummmm..... have you taken a look at the OP's web page? He's a CGI animator. James Cameron did the same thing in The Abyss.

  • The original video still cracks me up, it's such troll physics. If anything, spinning the water gives it even less of a chance of it being able to do that.

If you were in space, for example, you'd be able to do this no problem (without spinning it). Spin it, though, and this would never happen. =)

  • It is IMpossible.

  • Are you people that bord with your lives!? How much time have you devoted to this one freaking video!? The word possible means there's a chance of failure....multiple times!...just like your lives...

  • your 'figure out' is lame and the original joke was genius

air can disturb water's movement, NO NEED TO TOUCH THE WATER ITSELF to make it crash

  • @CentOKIlo That wasn't my point. It is fake. Stop trying to protect the original video when it only ends up making you look bad. To go off of the point you were trying to make... BOTH the water AND air would have to be moving around the water column as shown in the original video; imagine a mini tornado of water and air. That simply wasn't the case as it is IMPOSSIBLE to sustain water in a shape other than it's container (and in this case because the glass was missing... it would collapse.)

  • @DrekenShark Try this experiment to further prove what I am getting at. Fill a bowl with water. Slowly move your hand/finger towards the surface of the water. Does it make any movement? No. Why? Because if you move your hand slowly towards the water the air around the surface of the water hasn't been accelerated enough to make an impact on the water. NEXT, repeat the same process but this time move your hand quickly towards the waters surface but then abruptly stop before you touch the H2O

  • Respond to this video... Take note of what happens. Did the water move? YES! Why? Because the acceleration of your hand was quick enough to change the speed of the air directly above the water which then in turn made the water move/ripple a bit. You see my point this time?

  • I know it's fake when I saw it, but I really want to know how he did the effects.

  • It's actually possible. I saw it at my cousins birthday party. When your hand or anything gets too close, the water will loose its momentum

  • @DougieFwesh Prove it! Come on... show how it is done... like the original video says, "ANYONE CAN DO IT"... so give it a shot. Make a video response showing how you did it yourself and post it by end of day Saturday July 16 or you are a liar just like everyone else who has tried to protect this myth!

  • @DrekenShark poeple cant do it cause look at other video. other poeple turn and pull it up side ways not straight up just look at ther videos they will pull it up side was. also if you put your hand near it you will disturb it and it will lose its spin. so i still believe it works. if you put nevgative cooment then keep it to yourself.

  • @belinkster All I am saying is PROVE IT! (Make a video response)

  • @DrekenShark well i cant cause my mom will scream at me -.- sad right?

  • @Timotehrey I know XD there's no way in hell it would keep it's shape man unless you use jello all your gonna get is a wet table :P
