I have noticed that those crabs with the finlike hind legs behave in a markedly different way from the average crustacean. There is another video here on youtube that shows one repeatedly pulling a piece of bait on a rope back with it into the water, showing distinct goal-oriented thought. Most crabs sit around and wait for food rather than seek it out.

I know the paddle-legs are developed for swimming, so maybe they have bigger brains to go with increased mobility...

It's a saltwater swimming crab, it doesn't need air and is fully aquatic. BTW the comment below me is not spam, I don't know why it was marked as such.

dude what crab is that? btw....freshwater crabs arent completely aquatic atleast make sure it has like some air stones for breathing just trust me on this all itll cost you about 20-25dollars no biggie
