hmm.. on your video the sliding speed control on remote seems not working properly. controlling the pan speed should make difference that would work for zoomed or close up shots. i got the same issue with my mp-101 but it was under warranty and i got replaced not-working remote control. thanks.

How loud is the motor? and a figure 8 is you making the camera trace the number 8 in the sky. Or if you want real specifics, get a sign....draw the number eight and follow the lines. TADA!

I saw you zoomed in ...Did you do that manually or can the head control the camera zoom via the lan-c connector?

I could set a few of these up in my church with those small inexpensive HD camcorder.

The controller also does LANC control so I can do variable zooms, start/stop rec, focus, power off/on, and a lot of other commands.

How is this powered? Batteries... Car 12 Volts... or Wall 110V?

The actual Bescor MP-101 pan tilt head can be powered with 4 AA batteries or with an AC adapter. The controller we have developed doesn't require any additional power as it draws power from the motorized head.

Your controller looks leaps ahead of the stock controller.  Now try this; do figure 8's smoothly. This is the true test of whether it's good or not.

It is much better than the stock controller as it gives you very fine control.

As for the Figure 8's, I'm not sure I've seen any footage from other pan tilt heads that demonstrate this so I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this. Can you provide a link that shows what you are looking for?
