  • Why use plywood? I use polystyrene -foam for the shape, a hotwire run along adjustable shipping curves to form, steel floor, coat the foam in wallpaper glue and glass with poly resin and bi-axial glass, bonding to folded floor flanges. Then fair/shape/paint the trunks' outside. Remove the trunk, sndblast/remove the foam and bond 'glass ribs to the inside for structural integrity, re mount the "fibreglass" trunk and paint it. It's lighter, has no timber and is easier to maintain/repair. Cheers.

  • @Corza1221 I would like to see you do a vid on this technique.

  • you could drill holes in the sanding board to let dust out from the sand paper, you just need to poke holes in the sandpaper as well, I'd make sure there isn't excess sandpaper at the holes when you've poked them.
