In the standard Campaign mode, the goal is to make it alive through 4 levels, and survive a Finale scenario while waiting for a rescue vehicle to arrive.

In Versus, two teams try to do this, while the other team is the infected. The team that makes it farther and in better health wins.

In survival, you can not win. The only goal is to hold off as long as you can against the horde.

I have Survival mode for Xbox 360, I recommend you stay up on the lighthouse or tower thing for only a short while because sooner or later, a Tank will scale the side and whack you off.

bots, but it uses an AI director so every time you play it it's different

and there is fucking much of them :D More than this, some zombies are special - like witch, tank and others. You need some tactics to defeat them. And in the multiplayer, in the game mode "Versus" you can be in the team and play as these "special" zombies :)
