Great editing. Always loved this song on the Teases and Dares CD, had some interesting songs on it. It went from a rockabilly pop song to this futuristic sound. Was a mish mash of styles but very electro and before it's time.
and for those who remember the movie and like the idea of this song being the theme - remember, when the vehicle is passing by this huge screen and a woman is advertising some kind of pill i think? well just imagine kim instead. what a nice touch :)
yes, the song does roll well w/video. since the song appeared on album 5 years after the movie was out i guess kim (and perhaps her brother who wrote most of the songs on teases and dares) were still under the charm of the movie and quite so, since the movie still inspires new generations. as for kim she was never recognized in usa; i guess she had too much competition in the local market (pat benatar a.o.) but she did quite well in europe, asia etc.
Definitively, there is something about the market forces in usa. It is not about competition, but some deals the way the beatles were required to have two smash hits in a row before usa would open the door.
What are you talking about, pal? I was doing my duties at the university of Saskatechewan, and never heard of the St. Louis Blues at that time. Anyway, Riddley Scott has moved so much the movie, that I don't know which one is the official song and if Bladerunner was an organic replicant; or they finally made him look human, deleting the song, to get the char identified with the audience.
Dude, you're from Saskatoon? Were you born yet when the St. Louis Blues were going to move there and, then, when they ended up announcing they were going to stay in St. Louis, all the Saskatoon people were distraught, including kids who were crying to their dads on the phone from school?
This song, by the way, isn't on the soundtrack, what the hell? Was it even in the movie? Don't recall it...
Fantastic video, it rolls so well with the song. I have the original 'Teases and Dares' on record and where it says "look out for the blade runner" it almost always skips - not on here though, yay!
I'd thought of doing this for years, but you've beaten me to it! Brilliant job; the only thing I would do myself (and still may if I can ever get my hands on the right equipment) would be to make the video all about Pris, since the song is from her point of view (at least that's how I've always reckoned it) -- with Deckard only appearing sparingly.

For me, the mistery is in the eye right at the start of the video; however, I know I can imagine whatever I want. But she is the one of the eye.

In my personal experience, when things get hot,
the blades can be seen (you know children things) and running, dude.

So the brother pissed off the sister (that's the shot) Saw the glass go flying (the sister trows a jar of glass to the head)...

Yeah, but, since in the LP Bladerunner is
just one word, it has nothing to do with the movie.

Can't be true; because actual samples are in the tune. I wonder what the story of this song is?

Fabulous song - I'd given up on ever hearing it again. Kim's first 4 albums were incredibly underrated: are any available on CD...?

Yes, Teases & Dares is on ebay right now.
