@TheOfficialDJReD as far as i know as long as your motherboard has a slot for an AGP graphics card instead of a PCI then it should work. But in order for that to happen you need to have an older motherboard, but they dont make those anymore. So odds are if you DO have a PCI motherboard then you dont need this card as you will have a PCI graphics card which tend to be MUCH better than AGP graphics cards.

If you've been stuck with a Radeon 9200SE (heheh, like me) for years and years, and want to catch up on all those cool games you missed in the past several years, this card is for you. If you want to play every single modern game that hits the shelves from now on out, you'd probably get more out of buying a whole new machine. To me, it was worth it.
@exoticg9 Vertical Synchronization is a module that restricts frame rate so that your monitor won't display teared images. You can go on youtube and search for vsync, the 4th video called "VSYNC OFF ON" will show you exactly how vsync manifests.
Note: there are 2 types of vsync.
1st: Double buffered which uses more gpu power to build up frame rate at a constant rate.
2nd: Triple buffered which uses more video card ram to build up frame rate easier.
The latest Catalyst drivers should be okay for Windows Vista/7, from what I understand. For Windows XP, however, the only drivers I have found to work were the ones from the CD that came with the card. Newer versions do not work whatsoever. Thankfully I have not had any issues that warrants a driver update.
Just an update from me: this card has pretty much been a blessing. I don't play a whole lot of newer games, but so far I've gotten pretty acceptable framerates for everything I have played (all at highest settings). Amnesia was the latest game I've played, and I was looking at about 45 FPS on average. Older games, like Doom 3, that used to really bog my system down, run gloriously with this new card. I have not overclocked it yet.

This is exactly what I have. It doesn't matter if the fan is small, I've got the fan at 100% and I'm idling at 39-40C. I played crysis for a while and it went to 60C, so not bad. I've got a kind of bad bottleneck, though. @TwitchySpasm on COD MW2 on medium settings it runs great, but not high settings with AA. same with Crysis, run Crysis on No AA and lower settings otherwise you cannot run the game very well on high.

This can be used on Win XP/Vista/7
And for XP users, if you use the ATI Easy Install to install the driver , the driver won't work. What you need to do is to follow my steps below:
1.Click Start > Right Click On My Computer > Select Properties > Click On Hardware Tab > Click On Device Manager
2.Expand "Display Adapter then select uninstall.
3.Restart then when it asks for VGA... Insert the disc and let it update the driver.
4.Restart.
5.Be sure to like if it works!!!!!!

i tested this on games like: Dead Space, CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS, PES2011, AMNESIA, TIMESHIFT, COD4MW, FALLOUT NEW VEGAS, ASSASINS CREED
im getting more games to keep testing this card, so far it fucking rules :)

Hi, would a 250w psu be able to run this card? Im looking for an upgrade to my Nvidia geforcefx 5200. I want to play WoW Cataclysm above 9fps on minimum settings. All I want is a nice frame rate plus view distance up a bit nothing more fancy in all honesty. Oh from memory the connection pins look like they are on the otherside so would it be upside down? (maybe a noob move I dont know)

I am a semi-gamer and would like some other folks opinions. I am upgrading, I HOPE, from an ASUS 8400GS SIlent 512mb DDR2, to a Power Color ATI AX4650 1gb DDR3. I have a dual core intel 2.14 ghz, any ideas how to overclock the core safely? I have 2gb ddr2 ram and am mainly a Test Drive unlimited, GRID, and GTA fan... I was wondering, am I upgrading? If you can still find, get GDDR3 version ... they are rare and rarer though

Actually, You don't need 400 Watts. The PCI slot only uses up to about 70 Watts anyways.

@bilaldon786 it wont run. the CPU is too weak, you need a dual core.
if your pentium 4 has LGA775 cpu socket, you can upgrade to core 2 duo or pentium dualcore. if it isnt, you cant play those games very well at all.

i dont know why you idiots love talking about GTA IV. that game doesn't use much textures at all? if an old 500 MHz ATI graphics processor on the xbox 360 could run it just fine, the PC version couldn't do worse with 1gig of video RAM.

@TwitchySpasm on COD MW2 on medium settings it runs great, but not high settings with AA. same with Crysis, run Crysis on No AA and lower settings otherwise you cannot run the game very well on high.
