Fucking amazing. So many of these poets usually talk about how American government don't care about black people, and although that could be true in ways, this guys chosen to talk about the way all nationalities suffer daily.
that was brilliant, political poetry ofter mislead the listener to believe a biased view on a subject to broad for any one person to have an entirely right perspective on, but this, it was perfect, a brilliant example of English spoken word, the words were poignant whilst still uplifting, confronting with a sense of empathy all but lost today and above all it was true, it was a truth, not absolute truth but a truth that sticks to a moral code surpassing most. this is a work made real in words
What exactly are you insulting him for? No he is not Habesha, but clearly you are not American/British and that has not stopped you from using English (poorly I might add). As far as Mezeker not being Amharic...perhaps you need to go check your dictionary or "Kale Mezgeb" because it is in fact a Geez word (the root language of Amharic), and is actually often used in Literary Amharic. As Habeshas we should not only be proud of our heritage, but also appreciate it when others appreciate it too!
