I'd say the experiment probably more casts doubt on the assumptions they were using to test the similarity of chimp to human body odor than it establishes that similarity. Also, the experiment seems too small and subject to too few controls to count as scientific. I mean, shouldn't the experimenter have needed to look up which letter came from where? Should a man with a tested scent have been able to look on? Should the subjects give answers in front of each other? Too many possible influences.

I hope it's just a play to make the show more interesting... Let's say... They made some large scale tests, and to make it easier and fun to understand, they made up this scenario with the stinky guy and the nice chimp, to symbolize the choices people make.

Otherwise... It can just be a bull acting scene, that has nothing to do with reality.

I seriously doubt the fact that this isn't an acted test.

Body odor changes a lot depending on what one eats. Eat lots of fruits and veggies and your body smells sweeter than if you dine at McArmpits. A clogged colon also makes you stink and increases sweat acidity - some people burn holes in socks just sweating in them. Body odor can be quite pleasant.

Where did you find people to smell sweaty T-shirts? Are they somehow experienced in sweaty T-shirt smelling? Wow the assumptions of three woman taking away too much from a smelly shirt changed my outlook on chimps.
