I bought a hj 800, i really want the sound you've got (i have a spider 3 amp) i know it is not good for jazz :(. Do you get the sound because of the pickups mostly? or the amp?
@innerdeth the both not....i thing is the hands-mind-phrases-articulation and all the other things....I'm saying that because my upgrade finally was useless on the sound of the instrument.I've told that again on other post.
@jonankof Very lightweight.Man If u want a guitar to see those details you must find it on a store to try it.Or take the rist and go for it.For me is very good guitar but u maybe will be found problems.Try it or risk
hey man, awesome playing! i'm looking for a hollowbody that doesnt have a bunch of problems like some of the cheaper hollowbodies have, such as the ibanez artcore guitars, those problems being they dont stay in tune, and that they tend to just not be made well. I also do not want to spend a ridiculous amount of money, would you say that this a very good entry/intermediate level jazz guitar thats versatile enough that you can put a little drive behind it for a good funk tone?
@jonankof Thanks man. With hagstrom i forget to tune seriously!Too good to be true this instrument man but i'm afrait to say this will works with distortion. It has easy feedback because is full hollow body.I think u can close the f holes with clothes and reduce it but i dont have try it.
Great playing, but I was just curious: did you make all those modifications to the guitar (pickups, nut etc) simply out of personal preference, or did you feel they were necessary to make this guitar work at a satisfactory level?
@Hoopskidoodle Thanks and and indeed u r so right.I have 2 days now the Dogal and is amazing.I've try thomastik and DR.Better from daddario but in Greece they don't sell them, only daddario and dogal for flatwound strings. Thanks again

Whole band at same time
flamedudeNL 1 year ago
@flamedudeNL then yeah, you could do it,
but the qualitys not going to be amazing, but better than say a video camera,
ive recorded a whole band before using two mics,
and it sounds okay, but has an ambient feel to it :)
