Um... I never have thrown an apple out while driving or riding in the car, and have never known anyone who has. Where I live, you're lucky if people eat apples or fruits, and vegetables at all. Most of the squirrels where I live that end up getting hit by cars because they run out in the middle of the road, and stop, or go back the way they came ... right in front of a car.
