What's the difference in voltage between when there are a bunch of skinny purple beams and it's really loud and crackling, and the two soft white beams which are relatively quiet? ?

@Grundalizer The voltage is highest when it is producing those multiple sparks. Technically maximum voltage occurs the instant before a spark forms. The continuous electric arc draws the most current but since it is continuous the voltage drops across the arc.
