  • magariaaaaaaa vici da mito vmabob

  • The front end looks like it's permanently pissed off at you :P

  • Is the face of this car a cicada or is it a stag beetle?

  • In Brazil this car is an extreme luxury car, cust 115.000.

  • @MetalVlogBR Ta 108,000 agora

  • ha if this vid was 5 mins longer the guy wld of showed u the 0-60 : )

  • What is with the complaints of the electric steering??? I love the steering and the response of this chassis AND the ECU/transmission coordination. I rented a base model and didnt even KNOW they had a turbo model till I checked a dealer and thats ridiculous!! As far as the mpg goes, it actually does better than advertised. 33.6mpg at 85mph with A/C on (on my 580mile trip) and 36.4mpg at 75mph windows up no A/C. Car is amazing! Handles well, has plenty of power even for the base motor

  • nissan altima gets 26mpg combined, along with the camry.

  • Comment removed

  • @hehh543 sonata is 26mpg city 35 highway

  • @Frickitt Consumer reports got 27mpg overall. pretty damn good.

  • My 05 rx8 is rear drive with a 1.8 engine. Same as a 1958 Saab sonnet. I suppose Lummy would consider those two cars perfect for a comparison test. What a tool.

  • Wow. Barely a midsize car? It's rated as a large sedan, so the "barely midsize" blows all your credibility. Not that anybody gave you any in the first place.

  • Driving seat too high?? DONT YOU KNOW THERE ARE SOME SEAT ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS TO SHAPE IT AT YOUR BEST COMFORTABLE POSITION??

  • The front seat isn't too high, the pass. seat is too low!! I feel like I'm riding children whenever someone is on the passenger side. Other than that the interior is a great place to be.

  • YES...SUPPORT SONATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the steering isnt responsive enough, but how much response do you want from a full sized car?

  • I drive a '06 (Built '05) Camry LE, which's an EXTREMELY good car, I have 212,000 miles (~341,165 kilometres) on it now, and no problems... But, this car, it looks amazing! 198 Horsepower, 17 City, 35 Highway... That's uber awesome! Hyundai would probably be my third choice under Honda (second) and Toyota (first)... But, GREAT JOB HYUNDAI!

  • @Ian74263 wow you do alot of driving. how reliable is that car with its high mileage?

  • @mi3pwns No problems yet, probably going to replace the Spark Plugs, Timing Belt, and other things VERY soon though... Not getting as good gas mileage as I used to... But, the Camry is worth every single penny! Also, most of the miles are highway miles (I have to drive ~35 miles to work), and that we didn't have 2 cars when I got it... So basically, I'd go to work, come back, and if we had to go anywhere, we'd have to take the Camry...

  • @Ian74263 Forget camry...TOYOTA...MOVING FORWARD...unintentionally

  • @tootsiejoon Bad joke, sorry... But, it's just like people talking about Michael Jackson being a Child Molester... It's just not true, and has been proven to be false. Just like the "Sticky Gas Pedal" Incident... People thought it was true, and our Government found it to be "Driver Error"... Case closed...

  • @Ian74263 No, No juke its very true

  • sonata YF is better than camry

  • sonata YF is so cool

  • sonatas look really nice in person. i always have to stop and look whenever i come across on in the parking lot whereever i shop.

  • once he said its not sporty and steering responce, im thinckin a camry

  • You haters talk and talk bad about Hyundai, but It does't matter,Hyundai is the number 6 car maker on the world, and in the next 10 years is gonna be number 4,and so on,in about 20 to 30 years is gonna sells more cars that americans and japanes.Maybe you won't buy a Hyundai, but your children will.

  • @kaelkripton1 That is very true

  • @kaelkripton1 Number 5......Hyundai is Number 5... and could be at 4th position soon...

  • Looks like Toyota Camry on steroids by far.

  • STUFF!

  • Hyundai is awesome

  • Hyundai is such crap!! And what copiers! Asian companies have no originality!! I'm getting the Chevrolet Cruze instead, go America! USA!! USA!!

  • @Corvette90100 HAHAHAHA typical American patriotism at its finest.

  • @Corvette90100 Where the fuck you think the Cruze was taken from? FROM KOREA....THAT IS A CAR DESIGNED BY DAEWOO and OPEL LONG TIME AGO, AND REBADGED BY MG.

Nothing in the Cruze is American, is all Korean and somewhat from Europe, like all the previous Daewoo models. FYI, Cowboy!

  • my next car. 100%. With 5k down, here in Canada, i can finance one for 5 years (finance, not lease) for $350/mo! That's the same financing as with BMW3 series (base model), but this one is basically a 5-series BMW, for 3-series money.

Drove one a few months back (friend got one) - I was shocked to find out how good it was.

  • front seat mounted too high ?

well not if you r driving it !!

  • @machedari The left blind spot visib is limited to the drvr, I'm 6' 230lb long arms/legs, my knee bumps into the cntr console, but the steering adj fixes that. The auto seat can be raised really high to a point where I have can bend my neck.

  • He is driving the LTD and talking about steering and how it drives? The GLS and LTD are for the drivers who want a nice car to get from point A to B and rides comfortable. the Sonata SE HANDLES BETTER! In turns and such. So you really can't judge a car overall using one trim level

  • @chicagomarchingbands I test drove all three trims, and the GLS was junk.

  • 35mpg is a LIE

never heard of "only" and "$28k" in the same sentence before.

  • @kalargyi There's an Eco Mode on my 2.0T Limited edition and I have an $11/hr job and I bought the car brand new. The car is 80% paid off with money I saved in the past and the dealer gave me 2.9% interest at 60 months now I only have $3,000 to pay off monthly + the 10 yr/10,000 mile warranty. So Booya!

  • @wfg3james Impressive, wow, $11 in just 60mins. so Hows MacDonald treat you?

But Feel sorry for your money. You just paid about $25k that you have saved forever, now you car worth $16k or less. have you ever hard about the term "Depreciation?" I guess not.

  • @kalargyi Sorry but I don't think he really cares about that, he has a great car. Maybe people who change cars every couple years care, but then if you have enough money to do that, why do you care? So far the only other competition I would consider to be up to par with the new Sonata would be the new Optima. The offerings for most other major car manufacturers just seem out of date in both styling as well as value. You can argue resale value, but who cares about it when they just bought a car?

  • I'd actually buy one of these over a Camry in a heartbeat.

  • @Friendly0Dan I test drove the Cam, Prius, Scion tC, Honda civic si, mazda m3 & m6, VW rabbit, and nissan maxima. I bought the Sonata 2.0 T Limited because it has great styling, sporty handling, and it feels like i'm sitting in a jet fighter.

  • @wfg3james So there is no crappy cars that you haven't driven. Congratulations. when do you turn 18?

  • "If you buy a Hyundai, invitations will dry up, your kids will refuse to speak to you, your wife will sleep with your friends and you may end up committing suicide." Quoted from Jeremy Clarkson in Top Gear Magazine lol

  • @o0YumRamen0o A few years ago, when hyundai was nothing impressive....but look for the Hyundai Tiburon Test they did in Top Gear....The said it was better than that crappy Lexus SC430.

  • Chat about the Sonata Turbo on Turbo Sonata Forums! turbosonata, com

  • high style but crap quality hyundai is kia and kia === trashhhhh thats it

  • @kompleti hyundai over took honda and toyota in customer loyality. and hyundai increased in customers toyotas dropped to 53.3 % while hyundai is at 56.3 and honda is at 55.8%. and thats 2009 and 2010 when toyota decreased in customer loyality. hyundai in number in customer loyality and gaining even more custmers as new cars enter the lots. and the top 5 autobrands hyundai kicked out nissan and is on that top list as of 2010.

  • @pattycarljackson this thing have recall issue about steering.honda toyota are the best sellers mid size sedan accord and camry look at the 2010 sales

  • @kompleti Please read more and instruct yourself more before saying the first shit that comes to your dry brain.

  • HATE the front end of it. just my opinion though...

  • @RTdeluxe It looks different. I didn't like it in the begining as well. It grew one me (I see Sonata's all over the city here). Now i think it looks very nice. Better than new Camry or Altima, that's for sure (those things get more hideous each year).

  • just bought the Sonata on Friday night and Im turning heads at every stop. I spent 3 weeks reviewing my options. My father owned a toyota dealership for 25 years, I am an assistant service manager at a toyota dealer and my brother builds the Camry. Watch out for this car!! You will start seeing it everywhere on the road. I just cant stop staring at it in the driveway and I keep making excuse to drive it! Hopefully I wont have to use the 10year100000mile warranty. Ill update you guys!

  • We test drove the 2011 GLS last weekend. Two words.... ROAD NOISE !!! ...and too much of it.

We loved the car, but as soon as we got on less than perfectly-smooth asphalt, we could not hold a conversation! It was worse than our Honda Civic which has low-profile, Bridgestone's (terrible tires).

Definitely a deal-breaker for us. And it's not just me...look at the reviews on Edmunds. The biggest complaint is the excessive road noise. Such a shame that Hyundai has not addressed this!

  • Bought mine 3 days ago. Love it and such an awesome car. I have the GLS and has some power to it. Rides great and loaded with everything. Perfect car for long trips or just cruising around town.

  • Reason why its cheap? No market power. Hyundai has very little market share in America and to compete they have to make their cars cheaper priced than everyone else. Same strategy Honda and Toyota did in the 70's 80's. Have razor thin profits on their cars but gain market shares and look how it turned out.

  • @zjumps33 Also don't forget Hyundai is popular in the Heavy industries.

  • @undeadkillers heavy?

  • This car is amazing, a direct injection engine is very new to the market for cars. Its a much better design. I bought my first new car in 98' and it was a Hyundai Accent. I drove that car to 180,000 miles and only replaced the timing belt and regular maintance items. I sold it at that point still running great. My sister just bought this car and she loves it. great value and beautiful car.

  • really nice car, this car has everything going for, style, tech, and power

i think this car would be the best choice for everyone who needs it all for a reasonable price..

my second choice would be the 2011 accord i also like the new style n features..

  • was i the only one thinking volkswagen cc

  • ill get this car tomorrow. no doubt.

  • @koorboi did you?

  • the new one is good but i like the old one more...

  • holy shit so cheap... n 200hp

  • i have to admit that it really doesnt look that bad, but its kinda overly dynamic. if they made the styling just a little bit more conservative, it would be perfect

  • @ppno123 GET A LIFE YOU STUPID SPAMMER! Your so full of bullshit, everything you stated was TOTAL BULLSHIT. You just go around spamming all the Hyundai videos and copy/pasting this stupid ass comment.

How much is Toyota paying your sorry broke ass for going around youtube and attacking Hyundai eh?

FYI Im reporting you to youtube.

  • @ppno123 you keep changing your username, and copying and pasting the same bullshit. Japanese, right?

    you ugly, jealous fucks.

yeah, which car company killed innocent Americans?

you need another nuclear attack before you learn your lessons.

  • @ppno123Ummmm..... Not quite!

  • Typical womans car. They all buy it for the looks.

  • @carmgn56 Women may buy for the looks, but we guys will buy it for the fact that it's hands down better than any other car in its class in every single way.

  • @EliteSlayer542

That is such a load of crap. There is no way I would buy this over a 3-Series.

  • @carmgn56 whoa, whoa, okay a 3 series? seriously? there not even in the same class or price range AT ALL. No shit i'd a fkn BMW over a sonata but you can't compare them it just doesn't make sense!

  • @EliteSlayer542

Have you not seen the commercial? They act like their big shit comparing themselves to Mercedes and BMW.

  • @carmgn56 ya Ive seen it. The "hyundai uncensored" one right? well, those people aren't very smart. The Sonata is a great car, but its just wrong to compare it to BMW, Mercedes or Audi.

  • I wanna get this to replace my old corolla, but I'm a bit worried in long term reliability of this vehicle?

  • i've driven all kinds of cars before i bought my 2007 Sonata. I love it and I will get me another one. Never thought i would ever buy such a "cheap" car, but i'm glad i did. It came with what the other cars in it's class does and then some, for much less. I can drive from my home in SoCal to vegas on just under a half tank too. I look forward to getting me another one, forget the altima (which feels cheap on the inside) and the camry that seems to be taking a hard downhill slide.

  • where's those Hyundai haters... who never had a chance to get on any Hyundai..

Those haters probably talk sh** on some other car now.. Go Hyundai

  • The front seat mounted high is for safety reasons, it allows the driver to have a full view of the road for passengers who, like yourself, are six feet tall.

  • @Zenome I'm 5'9" and felt the seat was mounted too low. The high belt line of the windows makes if feel like I'm sitting in a hole. It really restricts visibility. I hate this styling trend. When I get in my old Volvo, I feel like I'm sitting in a green house because there is so much more glass than these newer cars.

  • @palebeachbum You know you can raise the height of the car seat substantially right?

  • @Zenome Yeah I know the seat can be raised. I only made my comment because he said the seat doesn't go low enough. You'd have to be giant to think that. The car is cavernous with plenty of head room.

  • @palebeachbum you dont have to be a giant, its just that some people has a bigger body than others, while others have a longer leg than others.

  • @hangene92 Haha, well yes I know this. I was just commenting on height, not err... width. I can't comment on whether or not the seat goes back far enough for long-legged drivers. I have legs like a dachshund.

  • own camry LE 2009 and hate it. Yes fuel economy is good but

    1. cheap steering feel, interior is cheap down to the most entry level car segment.

    2. fit and finish! You've heard me right! IT DOESN'T FIT. BOTH EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR.

Toyota used to make some good quality cars but one SHOULD THINK TWICE buying new toyotas. Honda products always gave me good experiences but their design bores me.people buy hyundai not because it's good car but others are getting worse then before!!

  • @ehanbameh1 I agree. I always assumed the beloved Camry was a nicer car than my '06.5 Optima until I rode in one for a couple of hours as a rental. What a joke. Compared to my Optima, the doors shut with a hollow, tinny sound, the 4cyl. engine is downright rough idling and gruff sounding. The seats are flat and hard in comparison. The ride was rougher. An instant impression of being overrated. I'd never pay more for that Camry over my Optima.

  • @palebeachbum Oh yeah man, people are all for camrys, but ijdk about em anymore. I drive an 05 SE Camry, and i love my car as if it were my own child, but its not what its cracked up to be. Its fast as hell compared to alota cars, but i bought certified-pre-owned, waste of time and money... it only has 76,000 miles on it and its starting to fall apart and on top of all that, it gets TERRIBLE gas mileage!(my foot prob doesnt help! lmao) I was and new sonata SE sooo bad!

  • @ExilmBitch Just curious, is your Camry's dashboard warping? I ask because a coworker of mine has a '05 Camry SE and I noticed one day when I parked next to him that the passenger side of his dash is warped around the airbag cover. If that's a testament to the overall quality, that's not a good sign. My Optima doesn't even have a visible cover on the passenger airbag. They did a good job hiding it somehow.

  • @ExilmBitch I think Camry and Accord's reliability and quality dropped in the late 90's I know people that have early .00 and current body style Camrys and Accords and all of them have issues. The days of Toyota and Hondas being superior to American vehicles are gone and have been for a while.

  • i'll wait for the sonata turbo!

  • This car cost the same or more than a comparable Camry or Altima. The Camry is smoother and quieter. The Altima and Camry SE are far sportier. Recent video comparison showed how the Sonata didn't near the claimed EPA mileage. The Camry and Accord both get better real world mileage. The Sonata really suffers in fuel economy in city driving.

  • @mlamike That really depends how you use the throttle. if you are a driver with a heavy foot, your mpg will not be as high as someone with a feather weight foot. its just a fact. They even did a test around a track with a prius and a bmw m3. the prius went petal to the medal and the m3 just followed right behind it. prius got 17 mpg, m3 got 22..

  • the steering is a little weird. turned it to the right, it went right. turned left. it went left. good news and bad news. bad: unemployment continues to rise. good: this guy still has a job.

  • wow that much freeplay in the wheel on a new car...

  • so....should a person get this new sonata? Or the new Elantra which looks so good? tough decision lol

  • Consumers report said

2011 hyundai sonata is really fun to drive.

my friend bought one and he said its fun to drive

so idk what this guy is talking about.

  • Headroom and seat hight are fine in the car. Ever hear of pushing the button and lowering the driver seat? lol Anyway, drove by a few of these on the road. Very hot looking cars in person :)

  • 2011 Hyundai Sonata or 2010 Nissan Altima?

  • wooooooooooow very nice car

It's the best sonata ever and with the turbocharge will be very good i wish if it will come AWD

(All wheel drive) wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow it will be very nice

    right????/

  • how much HP is the turbo version gonna have?

  • @IceWaterInc Hyundai Motor America VP said its gunna have 270+ hp, shocker, but only sacrifices one mpg on hw LOL

  • The steering uses electric assist. That's why it feels "different".

  • I'll take the car and the guy please.

  • Having said that, how come other car makers charge us so much for so little? Is it because Honda & Toyota are overcharging us? or because they don't know how to build nice cars in an efficient way? In either case, Hyundai is doing a fantastic job!!

  • good looking car....but shouldnt it have adjustable drivers seat?

  • @tri400 It does. I think the guy just meant with the seat lowered all the way, it still sits too high. As for me, I'm 5'9" and felt like I was riding a skateboard with the seat all the way lowered...just the way I like it.

  • As a previous Sonata owner; I must say that Hyundai continues to get better.

  • ...

  • man, white sonata looks sexy! i'm thinkin about trading in my santa fe.

  • NICE ... i like it very much... great design interior and exteiror.... way to go hyundai

  • got to admit the car is pretty good

  • The Sonata is a fantastic car. You get SO much stuff, I was absolutely floored by the amount of features you get for LESS price. It's truly amazing how people have not looked into a Hyundai before and why it isn't the best selling car in the segment.

It hands down beats the Camry in reliability.

  • @ConceptVBS their market share has gone up from this new Sonata. On Chicago expressways I seem these now just as much as a camry or accord. And with the new Tucson and the coming Elantra which looks badass I think Hyundai will take over the American market from Honda and Toyota or come very close to their market share

  • @ConceptVBS

Nice redesign, but let's keep one foot on Planet Earth!

If you look it up at JD Power, Hyundai has been making quality cars that last for EXACTLY 3 years!

That's why they make 10 vehicles, and sell around 500k. They are JUST NOW starting to truly compete, a lot like GM.

Camry and Accord have been making top sedans for 20-25 years, so you build a following and a name. It's not a mistake

    Hyundai has neither.

    That's not a mistake either.

Keep this up a few more years, then talk

  • @toyotas2006 if you own a toyota camry, You seriously woudn't have said that. I've own a camry for the past 15 years. Everytime new model comes out it becomes worse.

This will be the last time I will ever buy Camry period. Try the product, experience with it, then talk about their company history. Please go ahead and follow the name but keep it to yourself because others listening to you might get angry at you for misleading. my word of advise, DO NOT BUY CAMRY!

  • @ehanbameh1 I agree with you. The camry is crap now. In fact, the only generation I like was the 02 to 06. My sister has an 02 she bought new. But it's quality is nothing compared to my mothers new 2010 fusion or the new 2011 sonata here. Camry is done for. :)

  • @ConceptVBS This car was just released... it has a new drive-train and no history behind it whatsoever. That being said, how in the world did you come up with the conclusion that "It hands down beats the Camry in reliability." The Camry has a proven 4cyl engine and the same 3.5L V6 used in plenty of Lexus models... I'd really like to know your rationale behind that claim.

  • @ConceptVBS the only reason y hyundais r not the best selling all around is coz hyundai has just recently stepped up its reliability were as toyota and honda have been doing it for more then 2 decades......so hyundai still has a long road ahead to gain the reputation that comes with honda and toyota plus hyundai doesnt really compete and win any kind of races unlike honda and therefore doesnt have that good of a performance image

  • @ricksmiths10

It's not that Hyundai "has just recently stepped up its reliability", its the media who have finally "acknowledged Hyundai's quality" in the recent years.

Hyundai's quality transformation began back in 1999.

  • @ConceptVBS transformation may have begin in 1999 but that does not mean they started making the best cars right away.......honda and toyota didnt just start making better quality car but have actually been proving it for over the last 2 decades (honda for almost 3 now)

  • @ConceptVBS and not ignoring the fact that honda and toyota make more better cars......were as with hyundai its only couple of their flagships like sonata and santa fe (atleast to me) would u take a..... civic vs accent or elentra civic si vs 2.0T genesis coupe accord EX-L vs sonata (in this video) CRV vs tuscon pilot EX-L vs santa fe odyssey vs ......... ridgeline vs ......... accord crosstour vs elantra touring CRZ ( small hybrid) vs ........ insight/civic hybrid (normal hybrid) vs ......
  • @ConceptVBS

    element vs .........

    fit vs accent hatch

    TL vs genesis

tsx, rl, zdx, mdx, rdx ..........

u know honda is gonna win more then majority of this comparisons and wil never CLEARLY loose........thats y honda and toyota r so praised by the media and hyundai is not

  • @ricksmiths10

And thats why Honda costs waaaay more. To someone on a limited budget hyudnai with this is sweet spot.

  • @Xamaxy i actually made a whole presentation for one of my classes in college (it was suppose to be like a persuasive speech) and when u do the math u actually pay less for the car if u calculate the price u bought it for+cost of maintenance overtime -the resale value (as long as u own the vehicle for 5 yrs or more)....ur actually gonna be saving more money with the honda even though it may look like honda is $3-4000 more at the beginning.

  • @ricksmiths10

If you did the math correctly then this is it. Also there are differences in price from country to country.

I bought hyundai i30 2.0 CRDi 140hp for 17.000 euro...the same honda Civic with 2.2cdti 140hp and same equipment cost 27.000euro. Honda parts cost more here.

Sonata vs Accord is the same difference.

I would buy Honda anytime over any other car, but here its "for rich only" :))

So math in my country says Hyundai for everybody, Honda for rich :)) If

  • @Xamaxy oh ok.....i live in the US so i did the calculation according to that but i guess ur right it differs depending on wat country u live in.

  • @ConceptVBS Yes, That is very true and same way it's going to take years for the guy who drove toyota or honda for many years to finally wake up one day and realize hyundai makes much more sence. This car is economical, unbeatable value and best warranty in the business.

  • @ConceptVBS The only reason why I bought the car was that it came with 3 automatic garage door opener. I wanted 6, but 3 will do

  • @wfg3james

Why do you need 6 garage door openers? Are you that loaded? I havent even seen a 3 car garage, let alone 6.

  • @ConceptVBS plus now you can get the turbo with more horsepower and torque than the competitors V6's while still 30+ mpg! I'm impressed

  • @ShawDAMAN

    Until you take a corner.

Hyundai is going to make a killing from people who haven't a clue how a car should handle. They're designing their cars to be sold by two numbers, HP and MPG.

Do yourself a favor and go drive something like a Golf GTI before buying a Hyundai. If you haven't experienced a properly balanced car, you need to.

  • @luminaeus well this isn't a small or sporty car and doesn't purport to be. I don't doubt a golf gti would handle much better and have better 'road feel' but plenty of people (as you allude to) seem to be able to do fine without that.

This isn't a car I would necessarily love to have just for myself but it seems like a nice option to have in its category.

  • @ShawDAMAN

I just think it's misleading on Hyundai's part to put class-leading power into a terrible chassis. They know quite well that the masses can't think beyond HP and MPG.

Especially when they have car adverts talking about the 'boring car conspiracy!' Hyundai and Kia (same company) have been making and continue to make the least interesting cars! Even the Genesis coupe feels terribly generic.

  • @luminaeus yeah I get what you're saying.

  • @luminaeus

haha.... really? compare the sonata to a GTI? i cant believe you are being serious. One is for hauling people in luxury and the other is for a different age group and isn't designed for a family in mind. Of course they are going to handle differently. wow, what's the point of you even making that comment... haha

  • @byankees12

Not compare, because the Sonata doesn't compare at all.

As for the GTI, the 4 door variant is exceedingly practical and seats four large adults better than most mid-size sedans I've been in. The suspension is firm but still very comfortable and the handling is damn near telekinetic. Good power, great gas mileage, and it's very affordable.

So, what exactly are people buying the Sonata for? Oh right, because they're idiots.

  • @luminaeus Wow another hater. You don't drive an efficient car because you're an idiot. Calm down it's a car that was meant to actually help people nowadays with the fckn high gas prices.

  • @luminaeus This is just from personal experience in owning a Hyundai and a friend having a VW. He switched to the Hyundai because A. better MPG. B. Bigger and roomier. C. A lot less when it comes to any kind of repair. He sold his VW after having to replace the alternator. He now has a Hyundai Sonata. And I have one to.

  • @luminaeus OMG!!, what is this? another idiot comparing a Sport Car with a Large Sedan?? Why dont you compare a Econoline with a Freightliner, CLOWN!

BTW, if you know driving, YOU DONT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR SIZE.... You just know what to do to drive it well..... Grow up, kid.

  • @wtrdogg20

    "Grow up kid?"

How about you learn to fucking read before you tell others what to do? Where did I compare a large car to a small car? Oh, that's right, I didn't.

I suggested that he drive something balanced so that he understands how cars are supposed to handle turns before he buys the straight-line-only Hyundai.

Why don't you take the time to ACTUALLY READ SOMEONE ELSE'S CONVERSATION before you decide to jump in and make an ass of yourself?

  • @luminaeus Dude, you just compared a Large car with NO SPORT DRVING PRETENTIONS, BUT JUST COMFORTABLE AND RELIABLE WHILE EFFICIENT DRIVING, with totally sport driving oriented car like the Golf GTI....The only idiot and smartass here is you..And YES, GROW UP, KID!!

I read your stupid comment very well, well enough to determine that talking about a "well balance car" by comparing a family car with a sport car is completely stupid and out of sense. Learn more about cars, son.

  • @luminaeus When you know about cars, you know how a specific type of vehicle should handle compared to its dimensions and proportions.

Suggesting to drive a GTI to compare how a car is supposed to handle turns when he is talking about a family car is STUPID! Suggest him to drive a car IN THE SAME SEGMENT with better handling, like a BMW 3 Series, but with a 5 doors hatchback sport tuned car? You sound like a kid with a new toy (the GTI), comparing it with every car in the street. Grow up, KID!

  • @wtrdogg20

    You're really special, aren't you?

Sonata and GTI weigh the same. Sonata's wheelbase is only a few inches longer. They're both front wheel drive, two liter, four cylinder, turbo cars. Call me crazy, but I think that's a perfectly fine comparison.

And of course the Hyundai fanboy picks a BMW 3 series to compare against. BMW 3 series is rear wheel drive, totally different platform! It's also 800 pounds heavier! Same segment my ass.

    WHY YOU NO USE BRAIN?!

  • @luminaeus Dont be so fucking SMARTASS, We are not talking about the Sonata Turbo in this video, FIRST!

SECOND: Both cars are not in the same category, they are not in the same segment and they are not focused in the same market, asswhipe!

So, I think you can start using your brain, before doing stupid comparisons....

YOU ARE REALLY SPECIAL, RIGHT?, Comparing a Sport Hatchback car with a Large Sedan?

FYI, The turbo in the Sonata is to compete with all V6 engines, and it is doing it very well.

  • @luminaeus Who said the Sonata 2.0T was a SPORT ORIENTED CAR? You're the only idiot here thinking that a Turboengine is just for 100% sport cars..Once again, you are just a kid playing to know about cars.

The Sonata Turbo, NOT SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO, was designed to compete against all Large Sedan with V6 engines, not to compete with small sport hatchback vehicles like the GTI, Impreza or MazdaSpeed3.

So do yourself a favor and stop showing yourself as a total moron, doing silly comparisons.

  • @luminaeus BTW, Segments are not determined by the driving train, Either if the car is FWD or RWD, both are in the large sedan segment.

For example: The Impreza STI is AWD and the Ford Focus RS is FWD, and guess what? THEY ARE TOTALLY COMPARABLE BECAUSE BOTH ARE SUPER SPORT HATCHBACK VEHICLES!

So whats your point, little kid? You see? You dont fucking know what you are talking about.

Dude, please refrain from commenting about cars, until you learn more about it, and you need so much to learn.

  • @wtrdogg20

    LOL, angry much?

According to your 'reasoning', an Impreza STI Hatchback is a COMPLETELY different car than an Impreza STI Sedan, BUT a rear-wheel drive BMW is exactly the same as a front wheel drive Hyundai that's 800 pounds lighter.

And with all this ranting about not knowing much about cars... you fail to realize that the VW Golf & Jetta are a shared platform and have often been equipped with V6 engines. Also, Sonata is barely a mid-size sedan. The Genesis is the large sedan.

  • @luminaeus Dude, once again, you got all your information COMPLETLY WRONG!

A Midsize sedan is the Elantra (comparable with the Corolla), Accent is Compact AND SONATA IS LARGE SEDAN, The Genesis is a luxury large sedan, FYI.

Jetta and Golf doesnt share platforms AND THERE IS NO V6 options for them.

BTW, BMW 3 Series and the Sonata 2.0T weight almost the same (maybe 20 or 30 pounds difference).

I'm sorry, but I wont waste my time with you. Talk to me when you really know about cars.

    DISMISSED!

  • @luminaeus BTW, read my comment again, I think you dont use your brain often, I believe you dont even know the Focus RS 500, FWD sport hatchback, comparable with the AWD Impreza STI Hatchback.

When you compare cars, you dont compare based only the drive train, but also with the dimension, I told you this already. Midsize is Midsize, no matter the drive train.

And about the Jetta and Golf, well, OLD SEDAN Jettas and Golfs shared platform PQ35, BUT THERE WAS NO V6, ONLY TURBOCHARGED 4 AND 5 CYL.

  • @wtrdogg20

You think the tiny bit of mass of a longer bumper is going to make any difference in the polar moment of intertia on a car weighing over 3000 pounds? Hatchback chassis are based on sedan chassis, coupe chassis are based on sedan chassis. They all handle corners exactly the same.

There was no V6? Oh, then I suppose the Golf VR6 and Golf R32 are figments of my imagination.

In a comparison of handling, you really think a heavy RWD is a closer comparison than an equal weight FWD. LOL

  • @luminaeus I should not be replying you, as I said I wont waste my time with a tuner wannabe.

Handling changes a lot when you change the rear end to hatch, THERE IS WEIGHT LOST, DUMBASS!

And about the Golf, well, I was talking about the new Golf, all the VR6 and R32 engines WERE NOT TURBO, JUST V6 N/A, those models are not longer in productions and, BTW, those models where very oriented for sport driving, like the Focus RS.

Again, you are comparing apples with oranges, C'mon son! Total Fail!

  • @luminaeus You are so fucking stubborn you cant understand that you CANNOT compare a Large Sedan with a Sport Tuned Hatchback!!

Damn!! I am sure you are a 16 years old boy prettending to know about cars and comparing every car with the GTI because that is the car you are dreaming about every day and you wish to have it some day.

I really dont have time for you, kid... Grow up, learn to compare vehicles, stop playing too much PS3, then try talking to me.

    DISMISSED, FOR REAL.

  • @wtrdogg20

What a car is marketed as doesn't make a bit of difference as to what it actually is. You can call the Sonata a 'Supermassive Human Transport Station' and that won't change the fact that it has the same weight as the GTI. The same thing goes for 'sport-tuned'. Every car on the road has a 'sport-tuned' suspension.

Am I 16? Nope. Do I have a PS3? Nope. Do I dream about the GTI? Occasionally, then I go out and drive mine down the California coast.

Feel free to admit that you're wrong.

  • @luminaeus BTW, it is not what you think is perfectly comparable, there a lot of more elements to take in consideration when you compare two or more cars.

Few inches longer? because both are FWD,? because both are Turbo? WTF, dude!! One is a large Sedan, the other is a small 3 or 5 doors HATCHBACK, do you know what that means? SHORT LENGTH AND WHEELBASE.

FYI: SONATA IS OVER 100LB HEAVIER, OVER 20 IN. LONGER, AND 2 IN. WIDER THAN THE GTI!

ONCE AND FOR ALL, THEY ARE NOT COMPARABLE, DUMBASS!
