everything you said was helpful for beginners, but the most dumbest thing you said was that rocket pods suck. Well they do if you are a selfish pilot, but the best team work comes from rocket pods, not heat seakers, when using them against ground vehicles and even choppers.

For some strange reason my afterburner usually doesn't work for me. Same thing with the overdrive function for tanks. It only workers about one in 4 lives that I try to use it, and then it works without failing those lives where it does work. I play on the 360 and it does this with both my controllers but sprinting is the same control and workers perfectly every time. Any idea why it does this? Is there some special condition I don't know of that I need to fufil for afterburner to work?

The speed is knots, and around 300 knots like you say is the perfect turning speed. Many pilots tend to slow down and speed up i turns. The best you can do is to hold on the same speed.

3. Accelerate with W and Afterburner keys or just with the Afterburners?

4. How do you turn smoothly with the mouse? Because, sometimes I get tired from pulling the mouse down and I have to put in the original position again, and do it again...

nice vid. I've been trying to practice, but i still cant get tight turn. most pilots still end up behind me. Do you use throttle down key "s" to decelerate? Because once i go up full throttle I cant seem to slow down for tighter turn.

P.S. How can you hit anything with crazy mouse sensitivity?

I know a technique for turning faster than everyone. If you only use AA weapons you can barely help your team. Afterburners are ONLY good for chasing down a jet that is far away, chasing a jet that is using afterburners, and speeding away from someone who is trying to or has already shot a missile at you.

What's a tip for evading lock ons when you don't have flares?

Unfortunately you're pretty much screwed if the enemy fires a heat seeking missiles at you while you don't have flares. If someone is trying to lock-on to you then hit the after burners and head for the edge of the map to get out of range. Another option is to try and fly behind some terrain, like mountains, and if you're lucky the missiles will hit the terrain.

yeah, with helicopters you just have to tough it out, though it doesn't take long to unlock the flares even if you are constantly getting shot down.

You missed the most IMPORTANT THING. How to actually get in. Reason: Someone is always in the jet, even if you degrade yourself to wait at jet spawn, it will spawn with someone in it! It's not fair :( I wanna be able to fly the jet

very nice tutorial. I like it. This exact same map I used last nite and was able to do a decelerate-roll. Basically, had a jet on my behind, pressed my down making me go into a upper-roll, and same time pressed my left clipper, making me slow down. I was able to get behing the guy and eventually killed him. I love that decelerate thing. My only problem is sight. I tend to loose sight of the enemy once they know im on their back. Maybe more outside cockpit training for me. Maybe, not sure. thank

Never played jet, but did do some helicopter flying, preferred thing to do is: stay low, designate targets for your gunner - if you stay low you're harder to hit by AA since you have the tree's for cover - also stay near a friendly squad- they'll run into an encounter sooner or later. - the roll of a helicopter also is to support, not to attack a base all by itself (which is a Jet's roll).

It IS a constant circleing around each other, I guess it's all about stamina? And also, usually there are 2 enemy jets in the air, people got stingers, mobile AA, AA, & attack choppers making it all far more difficult than it might seem here. Need more tutorials! :)

@Wilh87 Unpredictability with fast turning is key. But, in all honesty. When a pilot of your skill or better is behind you, it is almost impossible to shake him. When a clanmate of mine who is around 20th best in the world in jets is on my tail...I die. Its really just a matter of not letting a jet get on your tail in the first place.
