A little tongue in cheek. With some companies and industries a union is a good thing. In most cases they have outlived their usefulness and become another hand in your pocket. Back in the old days the gave you health care for paying dues, now your dues go to fund Democratic politicians whither you are a Democrat or not. They do help keep up the pay scale for certain occupations and have a decent pension as a rule.

I was not referring to the auto unions, only my personal situation. The auto unions asked for and got too much over the years. They drug the big three into bankruptcy with their over generous benefits packages. Kind of like our congress.
