Always funny to mention that the patient should thank you for saving his life, ha ha, as you put it. That's what you get paid to do. Amazingly insensitive.
continuation, when i spit i saw some sort of circled dark reddish blood but its not as dark as the blood clot in the vid, then after i spit a few more a minute later i dont see any blood but i feel something when i swallow, do you think its a blood clot? if it is, is it possible to block the lungs or something? please reply im kinda paranoid right now....
hey tushar1969, since you have knowledge about blood clot i want to ask something, last night when i swallow i feel like theres a wound on the other side of my throat and i think because of the adams apple but when i spit i saw blood then i spit a few more and its bright red btw and theres still blood then 30 minutes later when i spit again i saw some
Dr! How is the bone put back together? My mom just hard brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor and I always wondered when I saw her scar how they put the bone back?
@chavitavb Hi chavitavb..Sorry for the delay in replying..the bone is put back and fixed in place using miniplates and miniscrews..3-4 miniplated are enough to fix the bone piece back into place..the bone fuses over a period of 2-3 months with the rest of the bone and remains viable subsequently..Hope your Mom is doing fine now..My best wishes..Take care..
very impressive doctor sahib..my brother here in toronto just had brain tumor surgery and we been told it is malignant..if it became complicated then I will get in touch with you.. I am very impressed what you have done in this video...
I hope the patient made a full recovery. That skull fracture looks atrocious! Thankfully we have doctors like you to help in such terrible circumstances. I appreciate not only the video but enlightening commentary as well. Thank you.
Patient made good recovery.Such fractures heal very nicely over 2-3 months time..thanks for your Appreciation..Maphisto86..take care..May God protect us from all such circumstances..
@tushar1969 I'm glad he's making a good recovery, excellent work Tusher.
If i blood clot has developed through boxing, obviously the brain is swollen from the punches does it make the procudure of removing the blood clot more difficult? Would you have to wait for the swelling to go down before u could proceed?
Also you see with nearly all boxers who have had a blood clot removed they never make a full recovery, is it possible if treated early enough to recover 100%? no impediments.
@djazza21 all boxers who have had removed blood clot stay abnormal whole the rest of life, being knowing this, if you choose boxing, then your brain is not normal anyway, so if you get a clot, in india you have to pay more money for operation, than you ever earn with the boxing, i would suggest you leave boxing, and play cricket.
@djazza21 Hi ..Sorry for the delay in replying..We do not generally wait for the swelling to come down..if it is a big Clot we have to remove it at the earliest..We give Decongestent drugs eg Inj Mannitol every 6 hours for the swelling to reduce after the surgery..Whether complete recovery will occur or not depends upon the extent of damage done to the brain and the promptness with which treatment is started both drugs and surgery if required..
@djazza21 .We remove the clot at the earliest and then give Mannitol Injection every 6 hours to reduce swelling Any damage to brain may or may not recover completely depending upon the severity of the Injury and the promptness of treatment. If one suspects Head Injury, consult a Neurosurgeon as soon as possible ...But Be it Boxing or driving..Rule no 1 is to 'Protect yourself first'.(Quote: Clint Eastwood in Million dollar Baby) as we all know.... Prevention is always better than cure...take care.
@cuteulala ;You are absolutely right..It is a very difficult time for the Patient and needs a lot of support from Friends and family and a Very caring attitude from Operating surgeon..
@No1Richman I'm assuming you are talking about the filmy membrane that covers the brain? If so, then yes. Don't ask me what its purpose it, because I really don't know.
i really need someone to tell me wheter my grandma survival rate is how high ( she got high blood pressure and the blood burst or something like that and the blood just flow out through her nose and she was spitting white foam and after 1 hour plus we discovered her in this condition we send her to hospital) second ( in hospital she was not taking in any medicine or oxygen because she was unconcious and her brain is also in an unconsious state)
I wonder what that person is dreaming about...
