normally when you rev the bollocks off you are doing a fair few miles per hour so it has good cooling...
also why is it going nowhere when you rev it... if you have disconnected things to make it rev on the spot...
if so thats another problem....all that energy being produced by the engine and nowhere for it to go.... normally the energy output gets transferred through the gearbox etc and down to the ground through the wheels....
If you were to put the stock pipe or tuned rib pipe back on you would get even more power and not choke up that motor! I have the same pipe and is was meant for a smaller motor, like the TRaxxas 3.3...
superchargers arent good for rc cars they can break ur egine apart ,,,if u want more power buy a powerful engine and superchargers eats lot of fuel... dont buy a supercharger
Well the supercharger realy doesent mess any thing up on the motor but they can be pricy becuase the rubber belts wear them selfs out realy fast. i have a OFNA Ultra LX Comp with a S/C never had to cange any motor parts for maby 2 Years and i race it daily
puting a supercharger in such an engine is simply wrong, because it already works under pressure,so adding more pressure overheats it and ruins it.exhept from that it isnt clever to run the engine in the air...
Superchargers suck ass. All they do is completely fry all your engine components. Its not worth the extra power just to destroy your engine. my advise.
well thats one way to burn out and fuck up your engine you obviously have more money than sense. i am a nitro enthusiast by trade, me and my work mates ran in a nitro engine and tuned it, it worked perfectly before we used the super charger.................. yeh two hours after running it with the super charger on the track caused iraversable over burning to the inside, fried the glow plug and all compresion was lost.
Well it isn't anything like a real car. Both the exhaust and induction ports are open at the same time so all it does it blow the fuel straight through.
I had my father explain the process of one of these engines to me. Yes both ports are open but they are in different places in the cylinder stroke and It doesnt matter wheather or not the valves are open or not. So, by putting a supercharger on you increase the airflow making it lean as thatonebone said and you are supposed to increase the fuel flow to match the extra air.
Regardless of any power increase, you would get much better power with just a good tuned pipe and a motor saver air filter. You would also get much better fuel economy.
Pipe is the first thing you do, if you want more power after that, then porting can be done or yes bolt on a supercharger. You should be able to tune the motor to get the fuel ratio correct, but with any motor, modify it and it starts producing more than it was designed for, no doubt it will wear out faster. Why in this video are the wheels not spinning, unless you have a dodgy clutch or have disconnected the drive shafts??
These two strokes do have valves. The first one is built into the crank and the other valves are on the cylinder walls. They do build more power but like srt14 said they do have heating problems. That is why they are used in dragsters mainly. But you can go with a smaller engine and put bigger fins on it and that might keep it cool. Or just never slow down and keep a lot of air going across the engine?
If you had any brains and accually understood how a 2 stroke engine worked you would realise a supercharger is POINTLESS. A tuned pipe will give more performance.
valves or not a 2 stroke is always spitting out through the exhaust port during the transfer port opening duration,so use a tuned pipe and you wont be wasting that power, and forcing in more charge is never a bad idea on any engine
Putting a supercharger on a 2-stroke engine is worthless. The are no valves in that engine to let the incoming air compress. Your just shooting all the mixture that us overfilling that chamber right out of the exhaust port. It's a cool idea in theory but you are wasting more energy than you are creating.
yeah buy a bigger moter. that wont even inprove the performents. just get bigger moter. oh and u r going to ruin your moter if u rev it n its not moving
really dude dont go spend $200 on a dumb gas gusler! take that money and buy a new engine like i have the savage x 4,1 and im buying the k5.9 to put into it xD cant wait!
only 70-80% goes through. that leaves you with a 20-30% boost. trust me i didnt believe it also. so i bought one and did some tests with a savage and it does really work. go to rbinnovations(dot)com and click on how it works. it makes sense.
these type of engines don't have valves, they only have ports. and yes they do work. its all about the right exhaust combination. you need to restrict the amount of exhaust flow before it enters the pipe by using a small washer. i made my own turbo system and it does work. click me and see for yourself!
are you doing one of those videos where you try and blow up the engine

if these are anything like real cars putting a supercharger on allows you to increase the fuel flow therefore its not lean anymore

the only advantage with turbos and superchargers on two-stroke is you get a higher grade of filling on high rpm's. no boost.

Nitro engines feature both intake and exhaust valves open at bottom dead point so whatever boost you offer just blows straight through the exhaust.
I tried some years ago with a .15 and a custom centrifugal turbo and actually the engine got slower (I messed the tuned exhaust)
