You run barefoot? No wonder you've lost your damn mind ;) I didn't know about the 4 year rule on Olympics and transexuals. I can kinda see that with HRT but not the surgery. That's just insane.
My sport is your sport's punishment. I luv that! Here's another quote that always springs to my mind about my favorite sport. "To go through life without ever running over rolling hills, flat fields, rocky gullies, shifting sand, sloppy mud, clinging clay, and fresh firm grass where your feet spring like lambs, is like going through life without ever touching your lover's face."
You run barefoot?! I used to run marathons pre-transition but stopped all exercise when I went on HRT. Tried to lose the male physique and all. I might sign up for this year's Boston Marathon running for a charity, really scary since I haven't even jogged in 5 years.
I'm still kicking myself for not meeting you at SF Trans March, you're so amazing!
You came-out to your parents at a restaurant called In-and-Out? That is really awesome! I love the way the name of the restaurant coincides with what you were doing. Luckily my mom found a tri-ess newsletter in my room so when she googled stuff she googled tri-ess and was relieved with what she found. I guess depending on what parents good reactions can be different. Great Video
There's really no need for punishment in running. You could always be forced to run longer distances, but there's not many things that you can mess up. It's more of a challenge against yourself than against others.
OW girl, I just had to get dentures JUST listening to your cake!!
I did track, but I was a sprinter. I was SECONDS from the Texas high school state record. Then I failed a class and couldn't participate for the whole track season. Oh well....that school turned out to suck ass anyway for me. I guess I won in the end. :D
Really that is interesting but... I was going to get into the physics of it but I think I will let it go here lately when I get into deep conversations with ppl they never end well.
I was on the track team, and did some fencing, but I haven't been on a team in a long time. I really should do something athletic, and running is a really good option. Your video may cause me to get active again, or at least ponder the concept. I wear soccer shorts every day, but I did actually play all through high school. Also, I am putting off the parental conversation, but I hope to be prepared for that, when I'm ready to be full time.

Considering the mischief you're usually up to, I guess that running being your thing makes total sense. ;-)

Why barefoot?
Oh the cake this is just me but that sounds gross.
DBBromberg 3 years ago
when u run barefoot you land on the ball of your foot. and the sends less impact to your knees. you also run more upright, witch helps with asthma.
pigpen7471 3 years ago
Really that is interesting but... I was going to get into the physics of it but I think I will let it go here lately when I get into deep conversations with ppl they never end well.
