I like this lots !! Great Vocals and fantastic tune...a bit of Eric Carmen..a bit of Jeff Lyne..I would have loved to play at this session..my kind of music.
This just makes me happy. Loved reading your blog posts about your Abbey Road experience, Corin. Cool too, that you worked with DM. I recently had the very same pleasure.
thanks again, I REALLY appreciate the positive vibes (especially about my vocals- it was only a one day session so we didn't have a lot of time to pussy foot around with the vocals: 2 takes, a couple of fixes and that was it). If you really want to hear the bass tone, check out the b-side to this on iTunes
This is awesome. I generally don't comment. I live in NYC and have played jazz, blues, rock, you name it all across the US. I don't often come across this kind of quality. Fantastic all around.
Man that's one of the best bass sounds I've heard in along time - what a thud!! Great song and brilliant vocals too - would have been so easy with only one shot in abbey rd to mess up but you got it and nailed it, well done. Been trying to get my hands on one of these basses but seem very rare!! Are the other hofners that good - committee, president do you know, cause I can't find a decent Senator anywhere? (political jokes aside)
Thanks for the heads up about your new stuff, Corin. Great job all of you! I really enjoy Songs From The Brill Bedroom, especially how you used the old reel to reel recorder, and this new one doesn't disappoint. It takes me back, yet I'm still here. Instant classic! Man it must have been a blast being at Abbey Road studios!
Thanks for all your lovely comments. They mean a lot to me. This song was a real labor of love, paying tribute to one of my favorite bands (Badfinger) and recording in the home of the Beatles.
Really, really nice. Great song. What a wonderful experience.

I'm hearing some Freddie Mercury influence in the lead vocals. Coincidence ?
