A worthwhile project, no doubt. Restoring the permeability of the soil through intensive rotational grazing & other methods that mimic natural grazing ecosystems would greatly reduce runoff. E. coli runoff from feedlots & confinement production facilities - a post WWII 'invention' continually esculated industrial 'farming'; and from poory treated human sewage, largely due to many systems being overlimit: these are the serious sources of E. coli runoff.
