  • she really isn't that good

  • more like a toe waltz....but none the less. nice

  • people can be so nasty!

  • HAHAHAHAH FAILLL SOO NOT ADVANCED. triples? yes. singles. HECK NAW

  • that was an ok jump but it was not the best sorry

  • its like she doesnt know what the hell to say

  • omg..that was so dope.

  • LOL Simone fisher is like the coach Tina Harwood from Ice Princess and the girl demonstrating reminds me of Casey when she was demonstrating her toe loop on camera xD

  • @kkmusic14 seriously, it seems like they all suck there.

  • @islaie LOL I know right? I learned it after waltz jumps too.

  • @OneImperfectAngel grow up ;)

  • to´OneImperfectAngel´ it is not a toeloop because you´re supposed to throw the right leg in front of you before you go into the rotation, to get distance. not completed as soon as possible. and to say ´´let me check your profile to see your toe loop....oh wait....you don't have any videos of yourself. FAIL!´ is very childish. and do you think I actually bothered to post videos of myself skating on youtube? can not say that I found so many videos of you skating on your profile, so grow up.

  • @victoriabonillaf It IS a toe loop, perhaps just a under-rotated one. I think it's ironic that you said "I feel sorry for you, you have nothing else to do in your spare time?" when here you are leaving a a manifesto on why you think it isn't a toe loop and that I have nothing else better to do. Once again, FAIL!

  • @kkmusic14 i live in florida and i am 12 and skate at the clearwater ice arena and that comment really just crushed me. thanks

  • toe-loops kinda scare me. I'm learning it now.

  • Here are some things to improve your jump, ExpertVillage:

    1) Don't rush into it

    2) The second edge, after the three turn, MUST BE LONGER THAN THE FIRST!

    3) Your leg, when your topics on the ice, shouldn't be turned out, but under your right.

YOUR LANDING IS ALL WRONG! Sorry but all caps, but im 12 and my coach bugs me about this ALL the time.

When you land, left arm is in front, and right arm right next to you. Turn out your toe and keep the chin up. You shake when you land.

  • I think u need real figure skaters...and p.s. that was a really bad toe loop you should do it right next time.

  • I actually skate at that rink. I hate toe loops and I'm in freestyle 6! Lol

  • I just learned that and ca do it better. Explain the part about the Three-turn.

  • @mysterycat333 show us how you "ca" do it better. honestly, if you knew how to do it better then how the hell do you NOT undertand that an inside 3 turn is a common entrance to a toe loop take-off?

  • right inside three turn then right pic in ice then jump. correct?

  • @xxbindlexx yep

  • right inside three turn thenright pic on icd

  • VERY loose body posture during the explanations...my old coach's would of been yelling their heads off....

  • toe loops are my fav (:

  • I find toe jumps way way way more easy than edge jumps?!!!?

  • damn im soo gonna fall on my ass tommorow :/

  • I figure skated last winter, I'm not so good, but I'll start line skating soon so I can be better on the ice this year! Is it a good way to learn?

  • first of all, the only thing toe loops and loops have in common is the word 'loop'. second, You shouldn't be showing other people how to do a jump when your own jump is only like an inch off the ground! and third, a toe loop is NOT an advanced jump! its like the second jump you learn in figure skating!

  • @islaie No it's not. You learn the Waltz, Ballet Jump, Half Toe Walley, Half Lutz, Half Flip... All before Toe Loop. L

  • @sassyqueen321 guess we do it different where I live :p i started my toe loop after waltz jumps

  • @islaie Really? :o

That's interesting. :P The toe loop is actually a very very easy jump ;)

  • @sassyqueen321 I agree :)

  • @islaie I just learned it yesterday, I got it right off the bat - I asked someone how to do it, they told me (off ice) and when I went on I did it perfectly. xD

I was just recently moved up to FS3, so :)

  • @islaie I've got a mental block with the toe loop, I found the salchow most natural and I'm closer to a decent axel than the toe :(

  • after seeing all these bad comments i dont think it is fair because this video has helped me to do the jump and my coach has helped me from this to develop the height

  • if you bring the other leg up more, you'll go higher and land it not so hard.

  • no offense, but people in florida shouldn't skate. just leave it to the north.

  • @kkmusic14 lmfaooo im from the north, but i skate here in florida now. and ive seen some pretty talented people here. Just because its different climates, doesnt mean someone cant skate. I mean....i wont lie...there are a lot of people who cant skate to save their life, but that doesnt mean others cant just because they live where its hot. We still have skating rinks :P

  • Hey this jump isn't that bad.... she just needs more confidence... but she doesn't exlain well though... just needs better explainations and zoom in on the jumo and after explain it again.

  • isnt an advanced jump any jump that a beginner cant do? I agree that the technique wasnt terrific but the height was pretty good :)

  • isnt any jump that a begginer cant do advanced?

  • that simone fisher girl reminds me of the coach from tht movie ice princess lmfaooo.

  • wow that sucked!!

  • toe loops are frickin easy cannot believe she can't do one.

  • It was AMAZING!!!

  • that was bad no not really bad but very bad

  • ew... that was such a bad toe loop O:

  • i am a profesional skater and i have never seen so bad toe loop!!!

  • sorry but a single toe loop is NOT a advanced jump =/ and it was a really bad demonstraition as well....

  • Comment removed

  • SHUT UP SIMONE FISHER.

  • okay, my toeloop sucks but I can do better than that... i think?

  • wish u would have done it slower

  • @chenchen2872 You obviously have not been taught the correct way to do this jump. As I have already stated, it was a terrible example. I'm a coach. I've been a figure skater for 20 years. I know what I'm talking about.

  • these are actually sooo simple!!

  • Very good :) but it's not advanced.... I don't take lessons and I did that the other day at the rink.

  • She could have gotten alot more height.

  • gees you guys can anyone say anything nice these days? her toe loop is fine! get over it! most of you were probably jealous that she can do something you can't :/ i though of it as a helpful video. thanks:)

    God bless-livie

  • @bigsislivie Thank you

  • that was a horrible toe loop.

  • not the best toe loop i have ever seen and the explanation isnt very good but atleast she was brave enough to put it on camera for us to watch and to educate the beginning class.

  • Nice jump. !!! Thanks for the advise!!!

  • Bad !

  • i'm sorry. but that was an ugly toeloop. you're supposed to glide your foot across the toe and then jump like an axel or waltz

  • That was not very helpful at all. She gave no explanation of how the jump should be done really. I know (I think) you need to do a left outside three then pick with the right and then jump to the left?

  • You take off from a back outside edge - so if you jump counter-clockwise, and want to enter with a 3-turn, it would be a right inside 3 turn. Then, gliding backwards on the right outside edge, you'd plant the toe pick of the left foot into the ice, vault into the air, turn counter clockwise, and land on the back outside edge of the right foot.

  • the jump can be improved but IVE GOT GOOD ADVICE BECAUSE I CAN DO IT ALREADY!! BASICALLY IF U APPLY MORE FORCE 2 THE TOE PICK U WILL SPIN FASTER AND THERES MORE CHANCE OF U LANDING PROPERLY! :)

  • K no offence to anyone but I find it halarious when u say ur still practising or can't land a waltz jump!!! XD practicaly on my first year (this is my fourth year) we were taught and completed the waltz jump and we learnt steps to the toe loop and salchow. I am on a synchronized skating team know :)

  • That was soo bad

  • agreed. she isn't very good at it at all.

  • No.

  • i am sorry but that is horrible i can do it way better she needs more hirght on the jump!!

  • How is this advanced??

  • I know right, more like beginners jumps.

  • i couldn't really follow what she was saying. not very helpful

  • how do you guys manage to do this without toe stops? (i artistic roller skate)

  • why would u make a tutorial for this what are the chances that any one watching is actually on ice

  • i find it funny you said that cause were playing right now on our coaches lap top haha lol

  • lol..

  • Well, you could put these on your ipod, and watch them on your ipod on the ice =)

  • not very helpful i must say

  • That wasnt good..... i can do it better cause i figure skate for 8years now and im doing competitions maybe i will set a ice skating vid on youtube ;3

  • LAME!

  • can you do any better?

  • yep, i can

  • @Joffel27 In that case you may poke fun :)

  • so can I, and everyone else on this planet

    ~Patty♥

  • @EpicMusicOfficial You have a point! *sweatdrop*

  • OMG ! Her toeloop is so... Ugly!

  • probably cause its just a single..

    but still ugly

  • FUCK YOU!!!

  • There was nothing wrong with the jump itself.... it was just not explained well at all. She didn't explain which edge to take off from or which toe to put in the ice... let alone weight transfer, checking, etc. And if you're going to say "it's just like the loop, except with the toe" you have to make sure to explain what a loop is to begin with.

  • orribile

  • That was a really bad toe loop...if you're going to demonstrate a jump, please make sure you're proficient at the jump. That was not a good example. The technique was all wrong.

  • @Vanyaloth lol it was fine

  • @kanekavi Um no, it wasn't. if it was "fine" I wouldn't have said anything and there wouldn't be so many other comments that are saying the same thing.

  • @Vanyaloth to bad it was fine, get over it

  • @kanekavi Ignorant people should not comment on things they cannot do themselves. If you could actually do this jump, you would know that this is NOT a good example of it.

  • @Vanyaloth im sorry that you cant do a jump anything like that and you try to find flaws that arent real so you can feel better about your crapy skating, you can find all the "flaws" you want if you feel better but she did better then you could

  • @Vanyaloth agree

  • @Vanyaloth

I think that it's REALLLLLY hard to do a toe loop on ice, REALLLY slowly so that people can see how to do it.

You try slowing it down for the purposes of instruction in the absence of a high speed camera so that people can see what you're doing with your skates. LOL. Good luck with that. Wear padding.

  • @Vanyaloth It's so easy for you to say it's all wrong and not a good example, so would you kindly explain why? It looked good to me.

  • toe loop is to loop as bicycle is to a bike. both have wheels, but powered way differently.

  • the toe loop is poorly explained :(

  • jump higher it will really help u on jump

  • um... not really the best way to explain a toe-loop... and not the best way to show it, either...

  • i agree

  • lol wow. U definatley can not jump... Please get a better skating to demo next time. LOLZ Jump higher buddy! ya can't do a double toe with that.

  • i <3 simone! :D

  • lol

  • She is really going to have a tough time doing her toe loop if she is puting her toe in the ground like she says. This expert vilage is stund and mindless which equals slightly funny and repulsive

  • Comment removed

  • then get a coach

  • Can't afford it i would if i could

  • I have a really big problem.. My strong leg is my right leg, But when i spin i spin anti-clockwise, so when i do this while i go backwards i can't lift my leg up and then do the spin/jump clockwise, i tried learning how to go clockwise but it didn't work out for me.. i broke my leg and i have a fear of doing anything clockwise... Anything i can do to help me? =[ Or can you make a video doing it anti-clockwise..? it would really help me :(

  • Do U have one on Axels I am passed salchow, waltz, toeloop, half lutz, double loop jump.etc......... I cant quite land my double.

  • it took me ages to do the loop jump and now i am learning the toe loop i can get in the air but i have trouble landing i kind of do a spin when i land, any tips?

  • Back when I learned the toe loop I did that too, it's usually having the wrong arm and shoulder positions that cause an extra rotation when you land :]

  • i learned the toe loop 1st 4 some reason. but it seems like every1 else learned the loop 1st. i would say just go slower til u get the rite feeling. that way u dont spin. hope it helps!

  • in ireland we generally learn the salchow then the toe loop and after that i think its lutz then loop...I'm not at that level yet but i can do a waltz/three jump and a loop. toe loop is tricky.

  • i have only had 3 lessons so far and can do 3 jumps... me loves ice skating :)..

anyways, i was told there are 6 main jumps that we have to do but they go in a certain order, dont know why?? LMAOO

but its waltz, salchow, cherry (toe loop), loop, flip and lutz

    :)

  • The waltz jump isn't part of the six main jumps, they're actually the toe loop, salchow, loop, flip, lutz, and axel. The toe loop, flip, and lutz are toepick jumps, where you take off the toepick, and the salchow, loop, and axel are edge jumps, where you take off an edge.

  • @singactsk8 i'm learning my toe loop first. it's making me feel so incapable.

  • i've never learned the loop jump.

  • It's harder than the toe loop in my opinion, mostly because you're taking off and landing on the same foot.

  • in ireland usually you learn the bunny hop, then the waltz/three jump, then the salchow, then the toe loop. i find the salchow so much easier to land.

  • this jump looks really hard but its acctually really easy :]

  • THAT LOOKS SO HARD ):

  • its quite easy actually, although i dont like it much.. i dont feel pretty when i do it haha

  • ahh i have to do this for my silver :(

  • its called a cherry

  • so is it stroking, inside three turn, toe pick, slide right foot, jump, then land?

  • whats a cherry flip jump them cuz that luks lyk a cherry flip p.s. which leg did she take off from

  • the toe loop and cherry flip are the same thing, they're just different name =3

  • cool!, i wanna learn that soon :D but i still gotta work on my waltz.... And i don't even tried a salchow! ohh well...

  • just practice the waltz, and the toe loop is similar. i just think of it as a 3-turn and waltz jump together with a little extra stuff put in. its really easy once you get the right position.

  • Thanks! i'll practise it on my own every day after classes, well, first i'll improve my waltz, then try a salchow, and finally my fave jump, the toe loop! =D

  • good luck! :)

  • the day i did it...i was amazed of myself...lol it was actually the 1st "jump" i did :)

  • ha away... yeah right

  • does this jump have more than one name?

  • Comment removed

  • cherryflip

  • no but their is a jump that is almost

EXACTLY the same. It is called a flip.

  • ahh i think i was taught it as a flip lol

  • the difference is that you don t hit the ice (i mean the toe) with the same leg. and usually when you learn it, you learn the flip with an outside 3-turn, and the toe-loop with an inside 3 turn.

  • we do it off a mohawk lol

  • Well, that's also another way. but point is- you don t hit the ice with the same foot ;-)

  • sometimes its called a cherry or cherry flip.

  • oh geez shes annoying- no offence

  • wth was that??

  • that is NOT a toe loop

  • why not?

  • it was wrong

  • I do skating and thats what my toe-loops look like... maybe you're thinking of a double or triple toe-loop?

  • no she does it sort of like a slauchow

  • you mean Salchow XD

hmm... maybe they both look similar ^^

  • i like the other coach better.

wow. it would be a lot better

if you showed a replay, y'know?

  • i'm bad at these, but i'm working on them.... but seriously that was a bad video if you want to learn how to do these....

  • Advanced skating? Seriously. Come on. In USFS, this would be considered Freeskate 1. Hardly advanced. I'd say advanced would be Axels and onward. By the way, that was a pretty pathetic toe loop. There was hardly any air gained, and you picked near your skating leg with your freeleg.

  • Actually Freeskate 2. Hahaa I'm looking at the record book thing now.xD

  • oh. Must've changed then. I remember learning it Freeskate 1 haha. But that was 5 years ago and now i'm testing and on pre-juvenille. :D

  • Wow that's awesome! Haha I actually learned it in Basic 7, but it wasn't tested on it until FS2... Hahahh It doesn't really matter though.

  • Haha thanks ;]. And just as long as we're all landing it(in my case, trying to land the seemingly-impossible double) its all good :D

  • ISAI its pre-bronze but its considered advanced because we do a basic programme first. pre-bronze is the first "Advanced Test" if you get what i mean.

  • Honestly, that really was hardly an explnation at all, esp. considering, how much my coach told me. She always demonstrates the take off in slow motion. In the case of the toe loop, she puts her left foot into the ice behind her. Then she pulls so that the right foot glides backwards and passes the right (on the left side), at the same time closing her arms in front of her left side). And she jumps off by taking the right foot up.

  • a single toe loop isn't exactly what you call advanced skating a triple toe loop is what you call advanced skating

  • Thanks for the tips, but these "how to" clips would be much better if you showed a replay in slow motion.

  • those are easy! I'm only in level 7 junior -StarSkate

  • yea sugarcube1994 thanx i no people rag on me 4 it but its just soooo easy i wz born in 94 too!

  • I am learning my double axel make a vid on doing the double axel cuz i got the all my other doubles

  • I've had some problems with my account being hacked lately.

So whoever posted that nasty comment does not reflect me.

I actually think you're doing just fine!
