  • Great list, but Keith should definitely be in there.

  • name one Guitarists was influenced by slash . he is way overrated and for the people saying jimmy page and hendrix and eric clapton are overrated i can name you million's of guitarists all over the world influenced by them . slash is a joke.

  • Hendrix is great, but overrated. White man's guilt is what pushes him to the front. Don't get me wrong, I like his playing, but white mans guilt is what puts him at the top of Rolling Stones list every year.

  • I'd say this is a pretty fair list. I couldn't take any away from it that's for sure.

  • Of course Jimi is the best, no one else can compare. Clapton, Page, and van Halen are vastly overrated, Vai and Vaughan should be higher on the list. Sice the category is Influentiality, Berry should be #2, ROBERT JOHNSTON #3, and John Lee Hooker should be there. B.B. King is good, but possibly overrated, and not very influential in today's music. Satriani, ho hum, just a flashy showoff, and even more so Slash. What's so influential about Parvenu Metal?

  • Nice vid, but NEVER refer to a list of the Rolling Stone Magazine... Those lists don't say nothing...

  • ALEX LIFESON???????????

  • Yeah wheres Angus Young???

  • the list is missing a few people wheres david gilmour brian may gary moore ritchie blackmore yngwie malmsteen peter green tom morello angus young pete townshend roy buchanan alvin lee randy roads django reindhart etc there can b no number 1 and hendrix is the most overated player ever did he invent tapping no pinched harmonics no sweep picking no he stole his act from players like t bone walker and buddy guy they were doing his tricks in the late 50,s and he ripped off clapton thats bad man

  • who cares abou t grammys? i dont.

  • Where is Angus Young!?!?!?

  • Where is RICHIE SAMBORA???he deserves a place here 2

  • I would have liked to of seen Tony Iommi,Yngwie Malmsteen,Angus Young and David Gilmore.

Non the less good video put together.

  • Good.

  • lol, steve vai was my inspriation :P

  • Comment removed

  • one is missing that i can see and that is david gilmour

  • Where is Randy Rhoads!!!!

  • Awesome list and really well made video!

  • yngwie......thats all that needs to be said

  • Joe satriani is the best guitarist in the world.

  • I would have reversed those last 3, In Order, Eddie, Jimmy Page, and Then Jimi Hendrix!

  • where the f**k is dire straits main guitarist?

  • Where the heck is Gary Moore? You obviously don't know him! By the way, that's not Slash (with Michael Jackson) at 3:18, that's Steve Stevens (the guitarist of Billy Idol).

  • surfing with the alien OWNS! :D

  • I'm sick of hendrixs and fucking slash. Hendrixs was good but now he's a brand. He was sold out.

Ps. Playing guitar with your teeth or behind your back is easy.

  • Lets give props to Tony Iommi he gave us heavymetal and the guy that says that he can learn any Sabbath song in less than 20 min. is full of himself . IOMMI fucking CRUSHES

  • Who in the world have Slash/Satriani/Vai influenced?

  • @TheStapleZ Quite alot of people actually u dick did u not read it he satriani taught steve vai, kirk hammety, lary lalonde and many other guitarists Slash has also influenced thousands with his work in GNR and Velvet revolver also as a solo artist so fuck off with ur shitty comments this is a good top ten i would even put Slash second.

  • @steveny689 They don't deserve top ten though. Where's Robert Johnson? Tony Iommi? Angus Young??

  • @TheStapleZ I agree with you there though lol...

  • @steveny689 And therefore we have come to a resolution. Good day, sir or madame

  • I find absolutely hilarious that when it came to slash all you could say is that he was a member of G 'n' R and that he owns 114 + guitars. He doesn't deserve to be in the same list as the likes of Page and Chuck Berry. Oh and you missed Tony Iommi and Dave Gilmour of your list, and Brian May

  • I find absolutely hilarious that when it came to slash all you could say is that he was a member of G 'n' R and that he owns 114 + guitars. He doesn't deserve to be in the same list as the likes of Page and Chuck Berry.

  • 1.JIMMY PAGE 2.BUCKETHEAD 3.STEVE VAI 3.SLASH 4 DAVID GILMOUR 5 JIMI HENDRIX ., bot VORE are BUCKETHEAD ???????? aaaaaaaaaaa shettt

  • yeah HENDRIX 1 amazing bat player amd my fav 2 a true genius b4 he was famous asked 2 play wit clapton live on stage in london and clpton walked off mesmerised and in total shock !

  • Outrageous that Slash is on this list and not Jeff Beck? Can't take the list seriously with this omission.

  • i would have picked #1 easily slash cause he has done tributes to almost every main guitarist out their #2 jimmy page easily cause no one besides slash can play like him #3 clapton because he is just plain amazing he sings plays the electric guitar does piano writes most of his songs#4 hendrix cause he like invented rock and roll period

  • @slashlegend65 Dude its a joke you put slash above those 3 he's not in the same league as Page

  • Where is angus!!!!!

  • Hendrix is first and Eddie is second... based on facts not opionion, no eddie no vai, gilbert, so many more, no hendrix no kk downing the best metal guitarist

  • Hendrix would apparently be there because he created a sound. I think Stevie Ray Vaughan plays far better then him but Hendrix is the innovator. So that being said, then as they haven't specified Genre, I would say Pat Metheny created a very unique sound that many have emulated and should be on a top 10 list. So should Lenny Breau. I would also say Andy Summers (who influenced guitarists like the Edge of U2).

  • @darkoanton5 Chuck Berry most definitely as well as Hank Marvin, Chet Atkins and Robert Johnson.

  • @darkoanton5 I forgot Django Reinhardt as well.

  • @darkoanton5 Oh ya. Les Paul!!! Probably the most influential of all time.

  • @darkoanton5 I keep coming up with others. Wes Montgomery. Rolling Stone hadn't a clue on their list. Even Charlie Christian.

  • @ 3:21 , that is not slash with MJ,and he doesn't look like slash at all!

  • Sorry but if you are talking influential its Hank Marvin of the Shadows hands down he influnced Page, Clapton, Beck, Green, McLaughlin, Neil Young, Townsend, Knopfler, Santana, Zappa, May, Gilmour I could go on - basically every English guitarists (and some US/Canada) growing up as a teenager in Uk from 58-65ish.

  • Slash should be out, Tommy Iommi in. We are talking about influential guitarists here.

  • @ajaxrules1975 I can't understand Slash being there.

  • @darkoanton5 Listen to more music then..

  • @YuriAlgor ??????

  • @ajaxrules1975 Yeah exactly, he's one of the reasons i started playing guitar..

  • @ajaxrules1975 dude how can you even say that lommi does some sick sols but his work is easy as hell to learn you can literly learn any one of his songs in like 30 or 20 minutes it takes me like a couple weeks to fully learn a slash song he influenced me to pick up a guitar and start playing in my book slash is number 1.

  • ...WHERES EDDIE HAZEL?....HES THE REASON JIMI EVEN PLAYED MAGGOT BRAIN AND HES NOT INFLUENCIAL...FUCK THIS LIST

  • sorry but satriani recently said in an interview that he did NOT teach tom morello, and all my friends say that he did but sorry its not true, it came from his own mouth

  • Gary moore was so bland before he became blues

  • The top 5 were pretty good, although the dross before that had my laughing. No Gary Moore, No Dave Gilmour? Come on fella

  • in my opinion.... Slash is the best !!

  • Page, has easily spanned more genres than you screen can fit. Everything from heavy metal to country to rap.

  • I guess there really is no determining who's the best. Stevie Ray Vaughan deserves to be number 2 or 3. They never mentioned Jeff Healey once again which is Assinine.

  • this is most influencial and SRV was heavily influenced by jimi hendrix so it just wouldnt be right having him on this.

  • @mean0machine0 I guess so. Now, I think about it, you can't really rate all guitarist because it is impossible but if you did it by a certain style or genre but it's impossible to me because they're all good.

  • Eddie Van Halen is overrated. To many guitarist can play fast, but how many can take a guitar, and sound like no one else. Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai, sound like Eddie. Who sounds like Jimi Hendrix?

  • So is slash, they are both crap compared to the real best....Should never make a top 50 best either of them.

  • nice rank 4/5*

  • 04 Should be David Gilmour not slash!

  • Comment removed

  • @Leonardoo69 david did do some kick ass solos but i would still have to say slash

  • Max.......

  • This is coooool !
