@AnimeTalk this was my first exposure to the Joker as a child, prolly months or more before the 89 film came out. he certainly gave me the creeps. not that i was always afraid of clowns, i always looked forward to them at the circus. but there always WAS that creep factor, and when an artist draws a clown to be INTENTIONALLY creepy, that heightens it.
Were these released in the late 70s? I once had two which I think I got as presents..."If Music Be the Food of Death" f/the Ridddler, and "The Scarecrow's Mirage".
You know to find true legend in the Batman Mythos you need to combine the slightly campy aspects of the Batman of the past with the cruel, violent interpentations of now.
as a kid the joker on this record freaked me out
