This just shows how The Ranger(The Government) makes it hard for Daffy Duck(The Black Man) to survive.. The Bear(food, clothes, etc.) represents all the resources Daffy needs, to survive, even though it's bear season, The Ranger puts up a boundary to keep Daffy from getting to his resources(the bear), and Daffy is forced to break The Ranger's rules to survive
Daffy is screwed from the beginning, when was the last time you saw a gun actually deal a lethal blow in any Daffy cartoon, and then she fires on bears ass and rips fur a couple inches, what kind of gun is this? Also Daffy always loses in these cartoons, there is a definate Daffy bias, I says she should have gotten bear frikazeeence!
I don't like it when Daffy Duck went from being the torturer to the tortured... The old Daffy was clever, quick on his feet, and was a good sport about losing. The new Daffy is just a bitter loser :/
@sarevor The new Daffy is only a bitter loser and tortured sometimes but against guys like Elmer Fudd and Porky he usually comes out on top. I think it's good for Daffy to sometimes lose and be a bitter loser because it makes him a more believable character unlike Bugs who always comes out on top.
@sarevor You're probably more of a Chuck Jones fan then - this short was directed by Robert McKimson - from short to short it's kinda noticeable how each director has their own idea about how a character should act in certain situations. I'm not a big fan of Robert McKimson's body of work, he shows more of Daffy's bitter side while Chuck tends to give Daffy deeper thought than that.
@Statalyzer But at the same time Daffy is very smart and is prepared for any obstacle that bear puts in his way. It's just too bad he has no common sense.

YEAH Bob Clampett's Daffy is more witty and zany. Other version's of daffy is pretty much antagonistic.

Meant to say "he" to Daffy, he does have a lil bit of a feminine side...explain his love for jewels?

@sarevor Also in the new duck dodgers that came out in 2003 I think he always comes out on top because he is the main character.

Million-hare hints that Daffy is often too dumb to remember that he can fly or swim.

Another brilliant Cartoon. These just make you smile and chuckle.
Cartoons such as these we might never see them made again with this amount of quality, care and plot thought line
