@viszokaib ...you have it backwards ...he was a jazz drummer BEFORE journey ... in other words he has always been a jazz drummer except when he was in Journey
@ivanhhh1 WTF dude, i made a comment about MF not selling Sonor but advertising this kit, nobody said anything to you or about you so shut the fuck up you fucking idiot, learn to read before you piss someone off and get fucked up, i dont like little pussies like you who act like tough guys on a pc screen. Go to hell, and have a good day.
Now seriously ... this guy is a great and outstandig drummer ... but watching him playing some drum and bass while knowing jojo mayer is just funny :D
I love ANY Sonor 3007 kit. they just KICK though ANY application! i got a 8,10,12,14,14s,17.5by20 kit with 9, thin plys and i have converted that kit into a small jazz kit, big band kit, percussion kit(orchestral) and MUSICAL music kit. Thought about buyin these tho.
these kits are great....i have had two in the past. hate sonor harware though...just awful! the drums themselves are great though...sonor shells are amazing!
I have one of these kits and I love it! The toms sound amazing and really keep their tuning. I woundn't say the kit is any quieter than a conventional kit but I have had to use trail several heads to get a great sound out of the bass drum. If you have one or are thinking of these kits. I would seriously recommend putting an Evans Hydraulic head on the bass drum and give it a really slack tuning. It give's the drum a much deeper / "wet slap" sound and it now competes with a 22" bass drum.
Yes the kit is loud but the bass drum as supplied with the factory head lacks depth but the volume is still there, I've put an evans hydraulic head on the bass drum as it gives the drum extra depth. I use the kit un mic'd for pub gigs and it sounds fantastic.

Is the bass drum still loud being that small? If so, I want one for my band practices. I dont have mics though

I'm defanitely getting one with the Hydraulic heads. Thanx!

@TheAtomicLad1996
You only need an hydraulic head for the bass drum, for the toms I use Evans EC2's ...sound mega
Cheers Dan
