Okay i have something to ask and i would like a legitimate factual answer. I am thinking about getting this bike and I want to know how much maintenance it takes. Also I want to know since I don't race but I do ride track would this bike be good for both track and trail. Does this thing cost you money down the road? what is the power compared to the CRF 250x

@916MXRider the X and R are pretty much the same bike. The X is tuned for trail riding with the headlight, electric start, bigger gas tank, etc. The power on both are relatively the same except the X has a wide ratio transmission which is more suited for woods riding. This R can be good for woods riding, but the motocross bikes dont like always being bogged down, so you have to keep the revs up to keep them running sometimes. Most of the parts are the same from the R and X

If you're 5'8", you may want to look into getting the crf250x. The bike shown in this video is the crf250r which is Honda's racing 250. The crf250x is a trail bike which features a headlight and is geared for trail riding, a perfect beginner bike.

@megawhip1 That would be cool but a waste of parts. For a dual cilinder 2 stroke you need two separate intake rooms. Or when it's a V you need also 2 crankshafts. Look at the RG 500. It's a V4 beast but takes lot of space to get all that stuff working. Maybe a single 2 stroke would be better, and in my opinion, a Honda CR 500 sounds nasty :)

@Ay199517 not really i own a 07 and im pretty sure theres like a blowoff valve, not one but like one. basically somthing in the right side pipe that opens the exuast when throttle is given. cuz when i warm up my bike i put my had on the exuast to feel the air. and the left (fromt looking at behind) is allways warm, right takes a wile to get warm

so its most likely adding alot of backpressure from the pipe leading out there and then the right opening when high flow is needed
