I love the emotional charge that this song delivers. The first time i heard it was as though my skin had been electified and all the hairs had taken notice.

I've read so may comments detracting from their work. This lyrics in this song - no matter which version, are loaded with meaning and feeling.

There is no truly original version of this song, and everybody is free to do whatever they want, in this case being the cover of this song.

Umm. Calling something a cover implies that there was an original it's a cover of. And there is no original to this song and even though there might be something you'd call such - it would only be a first modern recording, because it's more like an american folk song, so actually whatever version of this song we might be listening to nowadays is and will be a cover and therefore - yeah, I know. But not like you can compare this to "the original":P

"1 Love" it's an album containing songs of many artists, which was made, for the warchild organisation.

It's not that it's a bad song it's just that The Animals version is the king. I think there's too much noise in this song and takes away from Muse's lead singer's incredible voice.
