@dgoulster almost all street fights end up on the ground. There's a reason why the military/police teaches people grappling, because controlling an opponent with grappling is far more effective. In a pure striking contest, boxers do well, boxing has probably the best foot work and head movement and pure hand attacks of any striking style, but it's limited because elbows, knees and even kicks aren't allowed. I would take an MMA/Muay Thai striker over a pure boxer any day in a street fight.

What good is head movement against a take down? History has shown (sorry everyone) that a strong grappler beats a a strong boxer. As James J. Bas Rutten was known as the best bouncer in Amsterdam and was involved in several street ....

They were allowed to fight bare hand and to use their entire arsenal, but all were knocked out brutally very most of them in the firsts 2 minutes (some of them from the first attack). They were masters in all kind of KF, Iron Palm experts and all that you want. The firsts UFC, no rules at all and the Vale Tudo made the selection of what really work and what less.

Tyson is just Boxer but MMA is much more than boxing - Sambo, Judo , BJJ, even MuayThai and Kickbox - that's what Fedor got. Several strong kicks in the legs or some slams will make Tyson fall on the ground. And what Is he going to do then?

I agree with you.
But 1 thing for sure: If Tyson falls on the ground and someone try to submit him, he - in contrary to 90% of other pro fighters - will start to bite if there are no rules.
Bites are definately not very honorable, but i would really like to see how a grappling expert (Fedor, Rickson, Judo Gene etc.) would deal with a biting Tyson berserk...i wouldn t put money, don t matter for who...

@NDoraku. As I told before In boxing match - Tyson win, In sambo/judo - Fedor. That's why we watch MMA. And MMA is not dogfight :D It may looks like a little but it's not . And Tyson will be disqualified, only if he try to open his mouth.

@localdisk100 a boxer (a puncher) has a lot more power in his shots (hands) than any other fighter, the question is... can fedor take the shots from tyson with mma gloves? i say he can´t, plain and simple, of course in the floor it is all of fedor, but i say that he get knocked out before he can use bjj. tyson was fast,explosive,strong and he is in the top 3 hardest punchers in the boxing history.
