  • Nice move getting the 1UP in quick man!!

  • Some of the best BMG tracks ever!

  • bubbleman the prettiest level and easiest boss :D

  • 6:25 Personally, I question the wisdom in making a robot out of "wood." Am I alone here?

  • not bad the gameplay

  • Metalman will be my my favorite, jump around and trow metal blades, that;s a weapon :)

  • Quick man was always the worst though lol

  • I always hated Quick Man' Level, I could never beat it!

  • Evil momkeys o.o

  • 7:17 I wish I had a dog like that!

  • I first played the game for the first time when I was five Bubble man stage was a nightmare if the frogs didn't get me the spike balls on the ceiling did.

  • the time stop damages quickman.....makes sense since he like to go fast

  • 1:53 metroids?

  • all you need is metal blade or what? C:

  • man how can you play this on easy mode? try playing it this way on difficult and see what happens

  • I find the get equip music actually pretty catchy. @_@

  • Mega Man 2: The Metal Blade Show.

  • bubble man is a pushover lol

  • Really liked quick Man, good pacing & music...

  • Quickman is a pain in the ass..

  • Such a classic game.

  • Jesus christ, I want to be a kid again. This takes me back to the days when the worst worry's on my head were coloring outside the lines, missing the next episode of dragon ball z and making sure that my brother's didn't know I secretly surpassed them on king of the ring when they were away.

  • I hated those wood bunnybots for some reason....no real reason for it I just didn't like them:P

  • You are so friggin cheap!!! You have to use the blade attack for everything!!! When i play this game i use the buster for everything!

  • @Jjld1990 How is it cheap? The blade is provided in the game from beating metalman. It's not like he cheated or something...that's part of the whole strategy of the game - beat the bosses with the most useful tools first so you can use them for the rest of the stages.

  • @Jjld1990 You're just mad cause you cant be like this guy on this game! haha

  • @Jjld1990

I used to play with the buster on nearly everything too. I wish I tried to find out how much damage the blade actually did, if I had I'd have finished the game a LOT sooner

  • @Jjld1990 I'm the same way with the Buster. That's because of my stupid pride that in some way i feel beating an enemy with the buster takes more skill or something. It's not cheap using the Metal Blade.......Just smarter. It is the strongest attack in the game, so why wouldn't you use it as much as you can?

  • @Jjld1990 Could be he is using them only on youtube- clip, so there is more time available to show many levels...

  • i was like wtf at the start with the bubbleman stage

  • The first part of bubbleman's stage made my eyes get crossed, AWESOME!

  • wow you are good at this game

    (never beat a megaman game)

  • @mattkd100 Dont feel bad, the only mega man games I beat are 8 and 10

  • @retropwns I almost beat 8. its easier than the others. and for 19, I almost beat it on easy :p

  • Comment removed

  • the jellyfish underwater look like metroids

  • @die4pie123 lol I said the same thing when I played it the first time

  • Why do I get the feeling that those giant blue fire breathing robotic dogs later inspired the idea for Rush only 2 years after this game came out?

  • You're killing me ...with TIIIMMMEEEE.

  • I didn't know more than one boss was weak to metal blades.... I thought each boss had only one weakness...

  • @Zixe123 it's not a weakness. metalman's ability is just overpowered

  • WOW!! I didn't even think it was possible to go threw the quickman stage without using the time stopper!! Kool

  • WOOD MAN DIES WITH ONE SHOT FROM A CHARGED HEAT MAN SHOT!

  • YOU CAN KILL WOODMAN WITH ONE BLAST FROM A CHARGED HEATMAN SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dude u could use air shooter against quickman and kill him even faster

  • You have to be quick to beat Quick Man!

  • i know mega man is a super robot but cant he get rusty? im talking about the bubble level

  • Nope. Cuz he's rust-proof.

  • how can you see right in the bubbleman level?

  • the metal blades is the best weapon in the whole game

  • I miss this game...

  • Oh yes... THE BLADES

    ... I remember them fondly.

  • woodman's level is something straight out of kid chameleon, my favorite :D

  • gahhh my eyes hurt every time on bubbleman's stage XD

  • Wow, am i doing the order Wayyyyyyy wrong. i did bubble, heat, metal, a failed attempt of flash, then air.

  • try using the crash bombs on quick man, stay in one of the edges an stick a crahs bomb in it, he will jump into you but the crasch bomb kills him instantly

  • Hey there freak these freakin woods are mine. The names Wood Man have some freaking leaves and vines.

  • @ReviewerKid90

Lol from Duane and the other Guy. xD

  • the best mega man music ever

  • WOW Woodman got OWNED

  • OMG that guy is a pro!!

  • woodman's stage theme sounds like a boring version of the wily castle theme from MM3 w/lyrics...

  • Flashman WOULD be the only one able to stop/slow down Quickman....imagine if those 2 met Nitroman lol

  • Was never able to get past those lasers without using Flash man's power, so I almost never got to use it on Quick Man. Well done!

  • wtf he just stood there and killed him

  • "I'm bubbleman and I have something to say. DEAD"

  • I always thought those miniture frogs looked a little bit like yoshi...

  • Ahh Bubbleman stage, my eyes hurt!

  • @keybladekid0 "Bubble Man Stage" - Inducing seizures everywhere

  • What's up with the huge buffer?

  • metal man = rigged. XD

    this game is so amazing

  • i swear the first part of the bubbleman level is a seizure waiting to happen...

  • @sivrajeladnalgoh I surprised I didn't come out of that level without serious vision problems, either that or downright blind.

  • @sivrajeladnalgoh worst background to best music award

  • @sivrajeladnalgoh True that. With the continuous pattern of the waterfall flowing, one's likely to go dizzy!

  • @MDthornton83 Dizzy nothing, can you say "seizure"?

  • @TitusYorick Of course.

  • Wow...no use of Time Stopper in Quickman's stage. My brother and I always had to use that to even survive.

  • Order...Airman, Metalman, Crashman, Flashman, Quickman, Bubbleman, Woodman, and Heatman. That's my order for beating them...

  • Man does this bring back memories

  • That's because you suck.

  • For those who say bubbleman music is th best, listen to the intro..

  • Bubbleman=Weak

  • I always fought him first because he was so easy ^^

  • Yeah Lol

  • you had to make this with something in part 1 !!!!!!

  • i dont understand how the bosses get fucked uo so quick everytime, cuz ur pretty muh either using the metal weapon or the blaster

  • Probably because he plays in "normal" difficulty mode.

  • That doesn't change anything >:O

  • Well done. That's the best I've ever seen the Quick man stage played.

  • Hahah yeah, good he didnt fall into the trap "get the powerup!" at 4:45

  • metal power ain't half bad...too bad I just never used it as well as I should have

  • all you need to know in life is locked in mega man 2

i.e. flashman stop time is the only thing that works on quickman

  • As a musician myself, i never cease to be amazed at the quality of the music composition for this game. The best music of any video game.... ever

  • amen

  • The music in the Bubbleman stage is arguably the best video game music of this era.

  • I was nine or ten years old when I played this! Thanks for the vid!! Brings back memories...

  • mega man was made b4 metroid

  • why do they always have a damn water level in every (not literally) old side scroll game?

  • It was a staple. and they were kinda going with "Don't fix what's not truly hated for the time being"

  • Well Icarus like they have a sewer level in most gains. It's just one of those levels that every game has to have. I don't particularly like water levels my selves sometimes but hey it's all a matter of opinion...Megaman...the original/first game is hard as hell. Finally got past the gutsman stage a few days ago.

  • Hmmm. didn't know to use flash on quick man.

  • For some reason Woodman reminds me of the fat guy from Shaun of the Dead. lol

  • they stole metroid!

  • In my humble opinion, Wood Man's stage has some of the best video game music out there.

  • What kind of ears you have? It's not even good or hypnotic. Yes I'm talking about woodman's stage.

  • I don't know what kind of ears I have. I've never been able to see them myself, and I don't trust mirrors. But back to the music, Wood Man's stage is the most sing-worthy; I enjoy making up lyrics. Others I've played it for (NSF -> MP3) like it as well. But what do we Americans know, right Frenchy? ;)

  • I wonder what Bubble Man would say about his position on the long-term affects of global warming?

  • Extremely impressed with how you handled the quick man stage...normally i have to freeze the screen to get through the 2nd half of the level

  • It's weird that metal man's attack is good against MORE then one boss, which kind of defies the traditional formula of any Megaman game.

  • Oh dang I've made three grammatical errors, I wonder if anyone can spot them.

  • No all wrong, it should be "Metal Man" and "s'" because I'm not saying Metal Man "is attack", lastly there should be "than" since "then" is used to describe time.

ex: Metal Man kicks ass then and he will always kick ass now.

  • What? A 's at the end of someones name means it belongs to that person, so Metal Man's attack is correct. If it's on the end of a word it means is, like "What's he doing?"

  • Oh, I'm totally wrong and you're definitely correct.

  • well im too retarded to figure out what they are lol *hits self in arm*

  • I only have the one for gameboy lol

  • woah, the bubbleman stage looks trippy

  • 2:00 those things flying around look like Metroids if they had metal legs.

  • Had no idea Metal Man was that powerful! PWNT! Poor Flash Man didn't even hit the ground!

  • the metal weapon pwns bosses in seconds

  • he not using timestop and still get the life amazing xD

  • Quick man was my favorite enemy of all time!

  • It's true. The older u get, the less u know about the world. After watching this, I discovered that I know very little about this game. I never knew u could use the Air weapon on Metalman. I always used the Quick Boomerangs--and Bubble Lead on Flashman.

  • Those enemies around 2:00 look like Metroids... >.>

  • correction, Metroids looks like alien jellyfish =3

  • I always used Flashman's power to get past those laser beams. It seems like the only really tough parts of the game were avoiding those lasers and spikes. Maybe if I played it on difficult all the bosses would not have been such pushovers. But with the right weapon it really lets you just steamroll most of them with minimal skill. Still a very fun game. Great music too.

  • i could not for the life of me get past quickman's level, but nonetheless, this was a a great game to play back in the day and i'm glad that gamecube came with the mega man anniv. collection so that i could play it yet again.

  • It took me forever to get pass those beams on Quick Man's board

  • quick man...I always found him the coolest

  • I always started with bubble man and woodman and I do not know why cause it doesnt seem like the easiest stage...

...well back then I played in the sandbox alot too and now I dont know why I did that either so I wont ponder on that:P

  • Metal power seems rather...overpowered.

  • Whoever thumbs downed this reply is a loser

  • The power-ups were suppose to be used in specific areas. Some of the power-ups, like metalman's buzz saw, were more versatile than others.

ahhh I remember bubbleman's area. I hated it so much because I would always over jump and hit the spiked ceilings.

  • wow that saw is powerful

  • Some people call this game Metal Man II. Some people (myself) make a personal rule, not to use the Metal Blade, it's so overpowered that it ruins the game. But I have to admit, sometimes it's fun to run through using it all the way, like this playthrough!

  • i hated cutsmans stage-damn beams

  • quickman?

  • And going on with the Megamari comparisation:

    - the light/dark effect in quickman's stage is also used in Megamari

    - that attack used against quickman (flashy timestopping thing) Marisa also has a move to temporarily stop time with, except it doesn't damage over time, but rather when once it fades off.

  • As many times as I've beaten this game, I never knew how useful Metal Man's weapon was.

  • haha,quikman's stage is a tricky one :p

  • When I was a kid I always had problems at Quickman's stage

  • nice video.

  • The only thing that really pisses me off about Megaman is the background in bubbleman stage, its fucking DESIGNED to give you epilepsy... made my head hurt every time i played it...

  • nice.

  • Man, ive had the tune to Bubble Man's stage in my head for over 10 years. Ah, nostalgia. This one'll be on USA's VC shortly. Cant wait

  • I love the NES music's ability to echo. For some reason subsequent game systems just haven't gotten it right - that echoing music that gives a sense of wide open expanses.

  • metal power.... is OP for sure.. lol

  • that's because it's on easiest mode... >_>

  • How's that?

  • Hahaha.. Of course using tools is cheating. That's kind of the thing. I hate all the "tool-assisted" speedruns. Anyone can do them. These videos are actually fun to watch and actually requires you to be good at the game, and not just restart over and over when things doesn't go perfectly.

  • @xxxx85 While I agree that, if tools were used in competition, etc, it would be cheating, the fact is that TASs are only there to provide entertainment for the creator and the viewer, and not show off the creator's talent - the entertainment is derived from seeing the game pushed to it's limits. Saying TASs are "cheating" is a moot point - the creator and the viewer is intended to know this, and enjoy seeing the game ripped apart, unlike this kind of video, which is to show the player's skill.

  • I wonder if a TA could help me beat quickman's stage, I've even tried codes, but it counts as crushing, not getting hit like spikes do...

  • you do realize that you are a stupid, moronic, jealous person?

  • So you're saying, unless you use different types of controls than what were originally made for the game, otherwise known as "tools," you aren't a speedrunner?

Sounds stupid. If you can't play the game without tools, you shouldn't be saying people who can suck.

  • Megaman 2 is the easiest game in the NES series, still the best in my opinion. The first one and the third are great as well and 4, 5, 6 are awful. Dont know if there are any other Megaman for NES other than those 6.

  • 4 had some great music at Cossack levels 3 & 4 and the Wily boss re-fight stage.

  • The only mega man game ive ever finished. And why the hell does this video play too fast?

  • que saudades desse tempo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Woodman was the hardest of the first 8 stages IMO. I overuse my heat shots.<_<" Crashman was only hard at first since I never thought of Airman's attack.

  • quickman with no freeze is super easy with the laser parts you just need to know which direction to fall really....

  • Which is why people took months looking for the exact pattern back when this was first released. After all, no one really knew back then that the Time Stopper halted the lasers.

  • EXACTLY! That is why old school nintendo gamers were the best!

They couldn't just look up a strategy guide online or buy a code book. You either had to call a hotline which cost like 1.99 a minute, hope they made an article in nintendo power or get lucky.
