  • Tropical storm marco was the smallest tropical storm ever in the world!

  • Gustav's winds were 155mph

  • Laura isn't properly shown.

  • in ts marco you can see hurricane norbert

  • how do you do it with the download it all add on. i only get one pic.

  • @otiromaz Make sure under filters you have "Images" checked, and that the tab up top says "Links". For example, I'm looking at the IR GEO 1KM directory for Hurricane Alex, it tells me that there are 860 links on that page. With "Images" checked in the filter, it should only highlight the links leading to images, which would be the desired satellite images.

  • thanks

  • how do you make the satellite loops? i only saw still frames on the website

  • @otiromaz I saved all the frames using a FireFox add-on called "download them all". Then renamed all the files to be sequential (1, 2, 3, etc). Then I used the free software called virtualdub to piece it all together.

  • Incredible season. Similar to 2004.

  • death7178 this is for you...it dont matter what intensity it is...it matters if it does alot of damage such as that huge monster KATRINA N the biggest monster IKE...to me IKE was a category 5ive and to me Gustav did nothin...i think they retired him cause all of the major evacuation problems he gave people...

and hanna was a tropical storm she did nothin much anyways...fay needs to be retired...and paloma didnt do nothin...

  • Gustav caused 6.61 billion dollars in damage.

Gustav was deadly in cuba and destructive as well as in Haiti. US isn't the only state.

Hanna killed 500 people in Haiti as a Category 1. Not retired.

  • I STILL do not get how they retired paloma and not hanna! are you kidding? paloma barely did crap! these should be retired: Dolly, Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike. I love how you make these videos, by the way.

  • They didn't retire Emily from 2005 either... and it was a cat 5.

  • well, that doesn't mean anything.... emily barely did much.... it was category 5 only for some hours.... and i think it made landfall in mexico at cat 2, anyway.

  • it does not matter what intensity it is, the storm needs to do a lot of damage for it's name to be retired. For example, Hurricane Emily was a category 5 but it did little damage, so it will be used in 2011, but Stan did a lot of damage, so it was retired and Sean will be used in 2011.

  • So right. Dolly, Fay, and Hanna were terrible storms but weren't retired and yet Paloma was. Makes no sense.

  • @PCamron90 agree
