I always thought that Gran turismo is the place for nerds who worry about ther car too much. But I have to say, GT5 said that they will have 1000 cars , lots and lots of tracks, and will even have a livery editor. I already have Forza 3, and I think its really good. Im gonna try Gt5!

@SWOgottaGO I bet you never put hands on Forza 3 for a longer time. You have no idea what you are talking about. The Physics are pure awesomeness and EVERY car feels different. Accepted u turn all assists of. Kick TCS, ABS and all the stuff you don't need out, and you gonna love it if you try to dive deeper into the game.

Maybe GT5 will be better than Forza but i think that both games have (will have) great physics. Every game has it's streinght's and weaknesses.

@FastLead No, the real in-game 360 graphics are no near of what is shown here on this vid, you know it and i know it too. Yeah sure, is the FM3 engine but is not render by the 360 but by a high end PC. I ain't saying in no way shape or form that FM3 sucks but only that this vid is not rendered on the 360. GT5 will be better if have follow what the game gonna have and how it looks, it should be obvious.

@SWOgottaGO Yes GT5 has extremly detailed and realistic Graphics. And yes its way better than Forza's. Sure these Trailers are re-edited with more detail than ingame, but look at the GT5 trailers. There the same. They'r way of style is more acurate and elegant but they blend as well. I know what i am talking about because i work as an 3D-animator in germany. And all trailers from Forza and from GT5 are re-edited from the start to end. Google for a programm called AfterEffects, u will see (:

The livery-editor makes every car unique and the online matches can be much fun just because of some awesome paintjobs people brush on they'r cars. The thing is that the only comparison between FM3 and GT5 are the graphics. You cant compare other things like gameplay or multiplayer because there are no referenced materials out from GT5. There are only some Showvideos and handrecorded movies.

@FastLead Yeah but GT5 has modes that FM3 doesn't have that FM3 tried but failed to emulate like the Nascar and Rally modes which makes GT5 like 3 games in one so it's not like the only thing you can compare them is in graphics like you said and a demo of GT5 was out so gameplay can be compared. FM3 doesn't sattle on realistic graphics but the trailers sure tells me otherwise.

no just mearly comparing the games. Like this game doesnt have ambient occlusion, no HDRI (just bloom). no manufacturer backing (just a licence to get the blueprints off the net) less detalied cars. This biggest whoopsy is the tracks though, theyve just churned out some imaginary tracks with fucking waterfalls and massive cliffs. Might aswell have a space track.

Many of the cars in the game were provided by the manufacturers, in their own facilities...for laser scanning and personal inspection. There are VIDEOS of this you genius!

The waterfall/cliffs tracks is based off a REAL WORLD location, imagine that...again, your lying out your "you know what".

Oh, and the game DOES have HDR lighting..you see it on every track. GROW UP!

LOLZ keep comparing this to GT5 - keep making me laugh. Turn10 are putting ACTUAL content... GT5 is all previews and clips and titbits here and there. I converted to xbox BECAUSE GT5 is a troubled prject as far as i can tell - Sony's focus shifted to PSP midway and as result... the momentum is gone. Here's betting that GT5 NEVER launches... and if it does - there will a MAJOR component that was promised that was left out due to some technicality or whatever... you wait and see
