  • This is freakin awesome!!

  • COOL

  • COOL LED's color

  • Can you give me the name/details of the LED's that you have used??

I need LED's for this LED-Cube and I don't want standard red leds.

I want clear LED's but the most clear LED's has a high mcd, and the LED's of your cube are a bit clear and I think they have a lower mcd.

Can you give me the name and the place where you bought them??

  • @Jaspoep

Know idea what the LEDs are, that was a prototype cube I made nearly two years ago. I can tell you they where sprayed with the Plastikote spray mentioned on the Project page to give them a difused effect

  • @picprojects how many volts that can drive that 5x5x cube

    do you have 3x3 project?

i think its more easy for me as a beginer

  • @jayson01982

    do you have 3x3 project?

its more complicated in 5x5 for me as a beginner

    thanks a lot

    GOD BLESS

  • Hi there, what did you use for the framework, to house teh LED's ?

  • @ic0nist

The LEDs form the frame. Goto the Picprojects website where you can see how it was made

  • @picprojects Cheers, I'm reading through it now. I'm a complete electronics noob, so was surprised by the multiplexing, i didn't realise you could control LED's like that :-)

Love the work & thanks heaps for sharing on PicProjects! :-)

  • i heard no beta band >:(

  • @JackElrich

Had to change it, legal issues - sorry. I really liked that track too.

  • What?

  • nice work

  • The most I had seen up to this point was a 4x4x4. This is VERY impressive! The animation effects are really cool! GREAT BUILD!

  • Iv made a 4*4*4 cube, and am currently trying to program it using an arduino.

    love the video, nice work

  • 5, one for each layer. Check the project page

  • WOW how many volts does it neeD?

  • voltage needed wont change no matter how many LEDs are used, its current that rockets

  • does that have to be constantly be plugged into your computer? or is all the code stored on the IC, and starts over, every time it is powered on?? thanks. -joe

  • It runs standalone.

The PIC is running a software display processor that executes a 'macro' command language - see the project page for more info.

  • COOOOL!!!!!

  • You are one from us!!! So, I respect you and wish you luck in your inventions. I've made 5*5*5 cube too.

Your cube is wery straight, it's nice!

  • tht must have taken you ages

  • That is really cool, nice job

  • Wow, good job. I am doing something like this for my final project :)
