  • Think some of you need to look up Paul dalton (the guy in the video) before commenting on technique etc...

  • Ok my friend you have no idea what your doing. 1.running the machine in the same spot for that long the product has long long disapated and you marring at that point. 2.You go all around side to side stay the direction of paint. when foam padding, wool pad yes because u follow up with foam. good grief.

  • @clayman1630 you do realise this guy is widely known as the absolute best car detailer in England and Ireland. I was more surprised to see him doing a car such as that. He usually does masas or ferrais or that type of super car...granted his method may seem strange, but I wouldn't be trying to lecture the master....

  • and then the bird comes SPLAT!! xD

  • It ain't rocket science though!

  • where's the water spray on all the buffing video's????? you need to spray a light coat of water before applying a buffer....... common sense prevails some so called "detailers"

  • @jdmderick He's applying wax.

  • @jdmderick

Are you fucking kidding me!? Certain compunds such as Ferecla G3 do need water to work but 3M and other products have their own oils which keep the pad lubricated.

Paul is considered THE best detailer in the country!

  • @phil69a PLEASE TELL ME YOUR JOKING.

  • It always shows these guys doing a paintjob thats already perfect

  • What a cunt

  • @carbonz1995 LMFAO!!!

  • Not too keen on his ways of polishing here, the pad isn,t as level either at one point , little bit of a show off ? i know the guy is top top but jee,s i dont like him lol

  • hey dickhead your doing it in the sun????. Yep your a professional. NOT. Cockhead.

  • @teslaglobal Some polishes like Poorboys and others can be used in the Sun.

  • @teslaglobal Yep, you can't spell.

  • I would love to key his hood and sides. send me ur address plz.

  • that is an interesting way of buffing a car.... never seen that before.

  • he does it outside and puts his hamds on the windsheild wtf,not going there

  • @BennettLogan23 Good call, I was just going to make same comment. If not a garage, then at least a portable canopy and WEAR mechanics gloves!

  • @ImaLanger thanks for seeing my opinion!

  • if that thing jumps its over.

  • Prices have come down a bit, upto £1500 gets you a fininsh and layer of protection most if not all other detailers cannot match. Paul Dalton Crystal Rock Wax, best currently available. His own blend, made by Swissvax, £10,000 a pot. Best wax available. Overtaken Zymol now, and i am a huge Zymol fan. Paul has started to go down the 3M route too now, along with Swissvax.

  • @8782538 He like others will happily recommend ANY product a company gives him for free. It's good for him as he makes more money through not having to pay for it, and the company gets a certain amount of free adverts on the car forums, detailing forums and youtube. He uses a lot of them. Good luck to him, even if he does recommend using a SPONGE to wash a car in one video!!! greatest laugh ever that one and he never cleans or demonstrates on a filthy dirty car - it's always pre-cleaned cars.

  • @urbex2007 He uses a Zymol sponge which is as good as any mitt and used by many Pro Detailers. I use them and they do not cause swirls :-)

  • This video need a commentator. What's up with the machine noise.

  • thats a nice looking bimmer

  • I think he missed a bit

  • Like watching paint dry slow and boring

  • The Color of this Car looks like an Mirror

  • WOW...he does exactly what I do...how amazing? Give me a fucking break will you folks? This is a easily attained skill, with practice, and given the passion you should have for your cars. This is not neurosurgery...geeze!

  • @MrSinister99 same feeling! lol and we do it for less than 2% of the price -_-

  • if this guy was to buff my car ..i would have to sell the car so i can pay him out

  • this guy charges £5000 for a full car polish wax and clean

  • the wrist guard is a nice touch,

is that to avoid marking the finish?

  • and then it starts to rain lol...

  • this guy was born with a buffer in his hands.

  • wow....i was considering making some videos but if this is the response paul dalton gets, not gonna waste my time....HATERS

  • lol i was waiting for that to go off balance and rape the paint

  • i was hoping he would wreck the paint :/

  • M6 maybe?

  • @qwazzymodo191 Its a 6 series not an M6, though.

  • He needs an ezup tent. You dont want to work polish to long or the heat from the pad leave swirl marks .Once the polish and wax's starts to dissipate.

  • for those that don`t know, hes finishing the paint work, not at high speed and with a ultra soft finishing pad. being black, the car will have swirl marks from polishing what he is doing is removing this so in direct sunshine it will look like a mirror. as for sealant, sorry wax everytime for me :o)

  • why is he polishing without a polish on the surface?

  • he puts it on the pad first looks like a sealant

  • Lol he´s polishing for the picture!!

  • i wont go to him for a buff~ probly charge too much~ :D

  • you get what you pay for mofo. this guy is the best car cleaner on the planet. so don't hate

  • "i get what i pay for? he is the best car cleaner on the planet?"

d00d, i am the best car cleaner for my car~ i bet u dont even have a car to clean~

  • @zomgbbqwth I see so many wana be detailers working for dealerships putting swirls and circle haze on finishes.

How they keep their jobs is beyond me...their daddy probably knows the owner.

Piss poor job. I get better results by hand.

  • @agenthelios1 Didn't you know swirls and holograms are a dealer installed option ? ...LoL

  • @zomgbbqwth lol 500 bucks

  • sureley you could get the desired effect by claying the car?

  • claying removes bonded contaminents from the paint, a rotary polisher removes swirls, scratches etc from the paint so no you won't get the same result from claying. totally different things

  • The guy should wear earplugs...he will enjoy retirement that much better

  • is this the guy with the worlds most expensive car wash?

  • LOL, are you series? You obviously don't know a thing about car polishing. Jeweling is the extra step in polishing that most detailers don't do because it's time consuming and not as noticeably different as the compounding or medium abrasive polishing. Sorry to break it to you, but you obviously don't know much about polishing. I'd be very interested to see your videos to prove me otherwise.

  • I'm sure this guy knows a hell of a lot more than you about washing and detailing cars.

  • I dont care what anybody says about this giraffe looking dickhead. How can you possibly polish paint for 5 minutes without any product being put down. This guy should know, DONT DRY POLISH!Dummy.Plus look how cool he thinks he is, what a fag.

  • It's called "jeweling." Research this technique and you'll know why this video makes it seem like he's "dry buffing," as you've put it, when he is actually jeweling the paint.

  • have u ever used a proper carnuaba wax??

You have no fault, if you keep using synthetic products you won't know the difference of natural carnauba wax and other synthetic cheap waxes!!

  • id be afraid to drip sweat on it, XD

  • Always amazed by Paul's work. Would be great to have some of you come along to my new car cleaning / detailing forum (link on profile). Also £120 worth of products to be won by one of the 1st 100 members.

  • lol, he's probably on hour 6

  • He must masturbate a hell of a lot to need a wrist support.

  • Mr.Dalton is a true "Master Detailer" at a very high level. But if you have not made it to such a level in your own work .Then you are still just washing car and nothing more!

  • Good to see all the armchair groomers put their two cents in,they probably clean their cars with a brillo pad.

  • @spadgm ....like that stupid comment makes sense? Are you one of those Albanian gypsy car cleaners I see on every street corner? Every one knows brillo pads are for cleaning Albanians armpits!!

  • paul is the master, hes not using a glaze to fill scratches, hes actually removing them, using a polish and the makita buffer you see here, this man is an artist, and anyone who thinks pauls work is not top of the line can go to hell, as they know nothing about the fine art of car detailing

  • have any of you so called pro detailers ever prepsolled your job afterwards to see what your product is reallly doing,is it cutting and filling or cutting and finishing with no filling?????We at xpert products deliver a perfect shine with no filling two ,pad system water based nano technology cutters. Most detailers buff and leave the job shiny and greasy after a few washes the swirls return, they never went away.

  • Ok, first off, this man's work is some of the best you can possibly find out there. Theres a reason he's been featured on Top Gear for his ultimate detailing. Your just sad cuz you wax you car with a Pep boys special. You couldnt even afford to have this guy touch your car. hahahahah

  • In a recent German oldtimer magazine there is a test between several (smaller) professional rotary machines. The shine was also measured with an electronic device. The Festool wasn't as good as the Makita. The rotary with the best polishing performance in this test was the Flex L3403VRG. But I would not doubt that the Makita is a top machine. Not forget to mention that choosing a rotary is also a personal issue. Choose whatever works best for you.

  • Well I prefer DeWalt, this are a real professional machine with real speed dial, Makita has only numbers but you never knows how many rpm's are you running the pad over the paint surface and this are the increible thing on DeWalt; the speed selector from 1000 to 3000 rpm.

  • hey Dr I have used all machines and Festool has a touch sensitive trigger as well as six speed selection.Dont forget we in oz have 240 volts so we have real juice to plug into our machines.DONT FORGET ALSO THAT YOUR PAINTS ARE SOFTER THAN OURS.

  • Man I can't believe some of these comments. First off, the makita is currently used by the two top detailers in the world: Paul and Gurcharn Sahota (EDP). Secondly, the difference between getting your car serviced by a detail at this level and a detail by someone else using basic detail products is a NIGHT AND DAY difference. I thought I was a good detailer until I saw their work in person, there are no swirls, and the gloss and depth are incredible. The price is HIGHLY justified.

  • Oh and for interest i have both a Makita and Festool and the Makita whoops the Festools arse...

  • Ozzie are you in rehab dude???

Mate i was there when Paul did the uk,s Bugatti Veyron demonstrator and wet sanded the car due to horrendous scratches....He has just come back from Kuwait doing another Bugatti and is now off to Dubai..... These people are no mugs , they like perfection and they get it.....If you would like some lessons off Paul im more than happy to ask him for you...

  • all of my pro mates use festool not dodgy makita who's motors burn out,he does high speed buffing which is wrong,he always does shiny cars and he never shows you the swirls he removes or scratches its all smoke and mirrors.I'd like to see him use prepsol at the end one of his jobs and we'll find out if he's just filling or truly slicing and taking out swirls. He's just another monkey filling and causing more damage.

  • Festool are for rockies, surface looks shiny but not at all like the brightness you can get with Makita or the King of the buffers DeWalt.

  • WOW. ANGRY MUCH?

  • i agree one handed as well nice!!!

  • Missed a spot... just kidding, great job!

  • GTFLOOR

WTF are you on about. Every valeter/detailer knows that the Makita Rotary is the most favoured product for machine polishing.

Megs wax - PMSL YOU KNOW FUK ALL PAL !

  • is Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection 325ml any good for normal person use?

    2 coats?

  • yeh I love using it and it makes the car's paintwork so nice! I only use 1 coat tho just to let you know, and i also normally leave it on for just 40 minits too. It's brilliant. Take my word for it, I can even send you pictures if you really want me to - of the results. ;)

  • gtfloor you're an idiot. His machine buffer is a Makita, which is one of the most used rotary buffers by pros. And Gold Class?! HAHAHAHAHAHA. Gold Class wax is a JOKE! Sure it looks nice... but it lasts a whole entire WEEK. I wouldn't pay you $20 to wax my car with something that lasts about as long as it'd take me to drive home. STFU you tool.

  • I can do the same job for under $150 start with meguiars car wash, cutn buff compound, then sratch x for fine scratches after machine buff, megiuars gold class canuba wax then enjoy. End result will be as good as $5000 car wash. Also his machine buffer is a budget job not a professionals tool ( they sell these at supercheap.

  • i cant see anything he working in looks like hes posing for the camera lol

  • NVM its a 6 series

  • what car is he working on ????

  • Marc - what was Paul doing here? Nothing's taped up and he's working a big area, so it doesn't look like it's the correction stage?

  • choice777 you are the only retarded monkey round here, you must be quite a sad person to come on here and slate paul as much as you have. i detect a hint of jealousy, am i right??

as for weston6989, why is it dumb to employ one of the best, i take it you cant afford his services?

  • Is it a miracle to work and breathe at the same tiem ? Or wtf ? Retard. Just a bunch of ass kissers.

  • makita, dewalt and the rest of your buffers are old technology try the new Festool variable speed buffer with a slow start trigger action.you won't pick up your old buffer again. Its even better than a Rupes.

  • Paul doing what he does best.....

    Ripping people off...

Well i suppose if there dumb enough to pay for it.

  • That's so ttrue. Why some rich retard would pay so much money for a monkey with a buffer? Even my grandma can due that. Even better maybe.

  • bro lol u spelt do wrong, but yea i knw, i use mista clean autodry and its liek 50 bucks for the set but i knw it duz a good job

  • i gues i was drunk when i wrote that.. english is not my 1st language.

  • lol np it happens to all of us

  • what type of buffer do you use?

  • looks like a makita, thet are great buffers. i also have one. i wouldnt trade it for a diffrent brand, i like it to much

  • CP do the best buffer in my opinion.

    i wouldnt use anything else.

  • Like you,d know!!!!!!! Idiot!!

  • paul knows what he is doing, and a buffer works better and is easier to use if you dont press. but thanks for comming out

  • paul is the man :-)

  • @only1stefan O yeahhh
