He was born with a genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It affects all his voluntary muscles, most importantly the suck/swallow and respiratory. Diagnosis by his first dr. was that he wouldn't live to be 2 years old. He's now 5 1/2! We believe he has gotten better in some areas (physical strength) and weaker in others (respiratory strength). We hope and pray for a cure and take it one day at a time.
God Bless you all!Congratulations! You are winning!
