  • Where did you get the Temptu color wheel? I can't find it on the temptu website.

  • Good video! Thank you so much.

  • OMG! I loved this video. Youre great. Thank you

  • I wish you were my real-life best friend.

    haha.

  • is the styli-style eye liner pencil or is it the presharpened one?

i got the presharpened one and the liquid..but i noticed yours is sorta different. or maybe it's just the quality of my laptop? haha =P

  • Aloha Koren,

I'm beggining to build my collection and I've been asked to do makeup for a couple of proms comming up. It's hard when dealing with different skin stones as you of course already know. Can you recommend a product or website/store where I can get like general foundation and concealer palette/wheel.

Please get back when you get the chance.

    Mahalo,

    Pomai

  • Wow that eyeliner/lipliner was amazing!

  • do they still sell the stylus style eyeliner?

  • yeah. if you do online shopping, check out cherryculture or on amazon.

    (it's spelled styli-style, btw) :)

  • I don't see the name there ----> u know in the description box

    thank you :)

  • if you're talking about the eye/lip liners, it styli-style.

  • hi enkore, sorry if i'm asking for too much. but could you do a video using the temptu concealer under the eyes? i'm thinking of getting it but want to know what the shades look like when applied there. would you recommend it for really dark circles on medium tone asian skin?

  • is it safe to put she laq on your waterline? or is it only for your eyelids?

  • i wouldnt put it on the waterline... but its good on the upper or lower lash line to seal in regular liner.

  • hi, can u pls do a vid on long wearing lip tints/stains/etc

  • HONESTLY...

does the she laq make yerr makeup look good all day

anddd can u put it on yerr foundation because in the beginning of the day my makeup loooks soo good will it keep it like that??

  • Great Video!

could you please post the website for concealor and ,,,,, well post all the names of the products!! U Rock!

  • omg what would i do without your guidance.. thank you so much

  • Where Can I Buy The

    Urban Decay Primer Potion?

  • any ulta store or sephora

  • Hi Koren,

I havelearned so much from watching your videos, brought brushes from crown, pressed my mineral eyeshadows, and discovered the benefits of primers & fix+.(About time, i'm 48 & need all the help I can get :-)

Just a question. Amazon says the styli-style line & seal liner doesn't need sharpening, but I think mine does. How do you sharpen them,

  • hey brandane - you will need to sharpen them. One thing unique about SS liner is that the casing is plastic and not wood like other pencils, but its still sharpen-able. I use the SS Sharpener for it as I got it the first time I discovered SS liners, but you can pretty much use any sharpeners i believe.

  • what do u call the eyeliner brand?

  • Styli-Style

  • many thanks, ive always looked for a long lasting eyeliner hope it works :) ive tired the primer potion and its great. thanks again

  • what is the name of the eyeshadow primer? urban??? what's the spelling

  • urban decay primer potion for eye shadow it is well worth the money

  • if u depot it

  • udpp urban decay primer potion

  • you should make kits seriously I would buy it!!

    xoxo

  • Koren what spary are you using

  • you have every video that i could ever ask for! lol! youre awesome! (:

  • Hey koren , I know this may seem like a ludacris question but could the UDPP be used as a possible face primer since I know its so great as an eyeshadow base

  • dont, you will break out and it will feel very tacky, just use a lightweight moisturizer

  • I went to the syli style home page, and they have a few kinds of eyeliners. is the one you listed which is safe for the waterlines, this one: Line & Seal 24 eyeliner?

  • Hey Koren! Is Styli Style eyeliner safe for the waterline?

  • yes, they are originally designed for waterlining.

  • Koren! This is so important, please watch you'll thank me for it if you love u.d.p.p. as much as I do. Let everyone know!

  • Hi, Do you wait for the u.d.p.p to dry before you apply your eyeshadow or should you apply when wet?

  • you can apply it while still wet, just make sure its evenly distributed in the lid so that way your eyeshadow will apply evenly throughout.

  • Hey koren, I saw on the sephora website that you can you use the primer potion as concealer as well...is that true?

  • No,its too sheer... BUT you can use it to prime any cream concealers to make them longwearing.

  • Thank you! your a huge help!

  • where can i get a color wheel like that one?

  • youc an check out Temptu or Eve Pearl - both have great concealer wheels.

  • Enkore, do you use your UDPP on other people. If so, how do you keep it sanitary??

  • hey Jordan -Yes I do! I use a disposable lipgloss doe foot wand (like the ones in the UDPP) You can buy those from beauty supply stores, or if you stock, you can buy large quantities from Kosmetech (dot com).

  • hey i have a question. the styli-style eyeliner you use: is that a pencil or is that the twistup flat one??

  • hey Kiiim - its the Pencil, the kind you sharpen. Its not flat.

  • okay thanks you!

  • thank*

  • Thanks...I will check for Styli Style products for my waterline. You're AWESOME!

  • Hey enkore i heard of a benenfit gloss or some sort of lip tint that lasts for days on end, i was wondering if you yourself have tried this product? if so does it work?

  • Thanks for the vid Koren, you're so helpful!

I take it they've changed the packaging for Studio Moisture Fix because you have the one my dad got for me from the CCO. And on the website it's in the kind of Fix + packaging. Thanks for any info! :)

  • hey makeupmad - they just change the cap - most have built in pumps now.

  • Great, thanks for letting me know Koren!

  • from where can i get the urban decay shadow primer ??

  • you can get them from Sephora and ULTA

  • Hai Koren, have you tried L'oreal De-crease eye shadow. It's similar to UDPP and cheaper.

  • Aloha!

I just gotta say, i love how you have a lot of makeup 411 to share with us, ESPECIALLY, coming from a guy =p

I do have a question about the styli-stylist eyeliner. I do live in Hawaii and we barely get stuffs that you guys have in the mainland. I've been looking around walmart, walgreens, longs drugs, and I can't find styli-stylist eyeliner =(...So is their a specific site where i can purchase it from? Please get back at me asap..

    Take cares, Mahalos!!!

  • Aloha Mokuwahine - you might want to google STYLI-STYLE and see where in Hawaii they are sold. You can also check out Harmon's Discount Beauty website, they are #1 retailer of Styli-Style products.

  • hi koren!

i was wondering...what does mineralized skinfinsh do exactly?

does it make you glow? make your foundation look smoother? i'm thinking about getting one because they're so pretty but i don't really know what they do . Thanks for your help!

  • hey chicka - Min SkinFinish is just a mineralized powder that can be used to set your foundation, or use as is. Mineralized ingredients have certain characteristics are are great for the skin, compared to other kinds of foundations. Some that are colored can be used as a great blush, and some shimmery finish can give you a glowy look.

  • hey Encore, i am big fan of your videos by the way..i had a question, in the end, what do you mean by spray and how do you use it?

  • Spray Makeup Sealer - you basically just spray that all over the face to seal the makeup. Kryolan and Ben Nye have great Makeup Sealers.

  • Oh i also wanted to ask about the benefit She laq can it be applied overtop of the UDPP like if i put my primer on my lid then put glitter and them the laquer or will it be messy ?

  • just apply lightly and it shouldnt disturb the primer.

  • Hey Koren I have a couple questions - 1st of all I currently use revlon lipglosses but was wondering if there is a way i can somehow turn it into a longwearing product since i use only brands that don't test on animals , second question is about the styli-stylist eyeliners I've used them and they are beautiful but i have a really bad waterline so i find it hard to apply eyeliner there got any tips on how to work with a really watery waterline ? thanks !

  • hey Karma - you can try and seal the gloss by applying a thin coat of SheLaq. For your water line, use a small brush and apply a little powder on the waterline, so that way it absorbs the water. Then line, then set the liner with powder so that agian it absorbs the water your eye produces from lining.

  • I have the worst waterline. Nothing stays. Even UD 24/7. Do we powder with a translucent or colored powder? I am going to try the styli-style as they look just as good as UD 24/7 and 1/3rd the price.Wish I had seen this sooner. Darn!

  • Hi Koren I have 2 questions have you heard about ppl useing monistat soothing care chafing relief powder gel as a face primer? if so what is your opinion on that. second is have you heard about ppl useing auqafina advanced hydration rx hydrating facial spray and if so what is your opinion on that? I have heard these are alternatives to mac or other products that are cheaper that have some of the same ingrediets, thanks and have a great day :)

  • hey laysea - Monistat chafing gel is a great primer alternative. Many uses it, and way before all these face primers came about, Chafing gels are used. Regarding aquafina, if basically just helps set your makeup, it doesnt have all the other uses and assets like fix+ have.

  • Thank you Koren your a sweetheart :)

  • Are all these products waterproof because I yawn often and when I do I tear and being that Im not an expert my makeup messed up :(

  • not all but most - the Styli-Style liners are waterproof, smudgeproof, and longwearing. Most styli-style products are. definitely check that brand out.

  • Hi EnKore! I had a question regarding what I could use to seal my lipstick... a colour that I personally love that is carried by Smashbox. I dont want to kiss it off! Do you recommend using She Laq on the lips?

  • hey 7ru5tar - I use Shelaq

  • wow..i am so running to get that syli style eyeliner now..thanks so much!..i was wondering where to get it ..but didnt want to annoy you so took the time to go through all your comments and found out that i can go to CVS...thanks again! *wink

  • Hie Enkore, its me again :) Thanks so so much for all your brilliant videos! I would like to ask is there any product u can recommend such as foundation and base that suits and able to control oily skin. I have oily t-zone and slightly on cheekbone, after 3 hrs my face looks shinny! Sometimes i feel like applying UDPP all over my face! Pls help! Thanks a bunch!! :D

  • hey Shao - if you have oily skin, try using mineralized powder to set your foundation. By nature, mineralized powders absorbs oils that your skin produces and holds it to make the powders stick to the skin and last long. You can also try Smashbox Photo Finish face primer on your T-Zone.

  • Thanks for ur prompt reply! Will try smashbox out as i am already using loose powder. Hope it works! Thanks so much! :D

  • your videos are ALWAYS SO HELPFUL!!! thank you for sharing and caring, giving us your knowledge. people like YOU make the world a much better place. aloooooha!

  • thanks i went for nw15 in the end i thought i would get nw15 and nw20 for when im darker in summer. Do you think that will be ok if im very fair? Also do you have yahoo or msn might be easier to talk there, thanks

  • hey, cool vid v helpful, I am def going to purchase the concealer wheel, I was wondering do you know is nw20 studio tech foundation a light or beige colour? As i have pale skin with pinky undertones and i couldnt really tell on the mac website which would be suitable. thanks

  • hey babypea -any NW has red/pink undertone, and NC have yellow undertones. Buying foundation online is hit or miss, as MAC tone codes have shades just slightly different from each other. Try to get swatched if you can.

  • where did you get temptu concealer?

    and is it full coverage?

  • yes it is full coverage. I got it from Temptu(dot) com

  • Loved this video

my one recomdation for you, however is Ditch the Chapstick brand Chapstick

use blistex or another brand instead

Chapstick Brand contains alochol as one of their main ingredients, which as we all know drys super fast, pulling moisture out of your lips, causing you to use more and it starts all over again

  • The Company Styli-Style should put you on their payroll for recommending it. I learned it here and thank you for that. I have a problem with smudging & tried almost everything but they dont work at all for me. SS is the bomb! Thanks for recommending it to us. You are a truly awesome person!

  • you're very welcome!

  • Yep. I agree Liquidlast is very Long-Lasting and It is kinda difficult to take off but with a nice remover..it's awesome :]

  • i just bought styli style eyeliner:)

    it's amazing, thanks koren!!

  • where did y buy it

  • i bought mines at CVS :)

  • u made me fall in luv wid the styli style..

  • Great video but I have a question re the styli stylers. Are these the flat liners or is their another type? Please specify exact type. Thanks!!!

  • they come flat or regular rounds - I use the regular round pencils.

  • hi koren... does the styli style eyeliner take long time for it to set? i have problem with eyeliner... it crease easily... I've tried stilla smudgepot, mac fluidline, UDPP + Black eyeshadow they are all smudge away after a long day.. which other eyeliner can you recommend me? Please help :)

  • hey Yene - it doesnt take that long. even faster if you set using some transluscent powder. And its definitely smudgeproof. Check it out.

  • Does the Benefit She-laq work??? I used something similar to that from a spa. Left my eyeliner kind of crusty looking like dry/flaky skin. I want to wear eyeliner again but don't want raccoon eyes. I have extremely oily skin and eyelids.

  • yes, it works quite nicely, and doest cause any flaking/crusting. Definitely check it out.

  • Thanks EnKoreMakeup. I just ordered it. I hope it doesn't look funky over my eyeliner.

  • these are great tips thnks im going to buy somethings

  • have you tried Make Up For Ever's "Eye Seal"? If you have, would you recommend it??

  • hey tammy - its a little on the sticky side. If youre looking for a good sealer, check out SheLaQ by Benefit.

  • enkore.. wer do u buy that temptu concealer wheel? and wat color is for wat area or skin imperfections? tnx!

  • i got mine from temptu (dot) com. I mix and match to blend with the rest of skin, that why I like the wheel. Different imperfection have diff undertones. Acne is usally red, bruises and dark circles are usually purplish.

  • hey enkore! is the styli style eyeliner safe for the waterline?

  • yes, and its waterproof, so great for waterlining.

  • well i do have an eye-makeup remover from The BodyShop which its for step one to remove then there are those wet makeup removers wipes that i use to make sure there is nothin left on me and if there anything is getting hard to be removed , after that i do wash my face with water and do whatever i wanna do ^_^

MAC mascara is really fab but it had a bad impact on my eyelashes they become weaker and i lost some of them , the mascara was really hard to remove (waterbroof)& that was the problem

  • well i used to use the MAC mascara but it ruined my eyelashes and ever since i stopped using anything from MAC , but in this Video i really loved the things they have .. but dont you think their stuff is very hard to remove ?? or its just me ?? lol

  • hey Babe - what kind of remover do you use? Some of the products are high-pigmented and longewear, so I guess depends on the product. Some are harder to remove and some are easy.

  • Following your advice, I have recently bought Benefit's "She Laq" and am practicing and practicing and practicing... It is tricky to use, and I would very much appreciate if you could create a vid on She Laq in the future. Thank you!

  • it takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, its the bomb! Oh, and thanks for the vid suggestion!

  • thanks 4 your videos.

I just wanted to know which mac powder is best for setting my foundation and one that has a good coverage? how is the mac studio fix?

    Any recomandations? thanks

  • studio fix has good coverage. Its foundation and powder in one. So its in the hybrid category. Mineralized SkinFinish Natural is also great, and buildable to medium coverage.

  • Thank you so much for all your helpful tips. You are amazing!

Another great eye makeup remover is:BI-FACIL,by Lancome. It's a little pricey, but it is SO worth the money. It removes waterproof mascara like water; without a lot of tugging and pulling.

    :)

  • ooh I will have to check that out! Thanks for the info!

  • Are the styli-style eyeliners waterline safe?

  • yes they are

  • thank you for replying, am looking for a new eyeliner, and think this one will do!

  • Hi Koren, is the UDPP comparable to MAC paint pots? I have Bare Study and Painterly in MAC paint pots but I heard lots of people raving about UDPP. Which one do you use or prefer? I'm thinking of getting the UDPP because they come in a set of two right now for a cheaper price. Should I get it eventhough I already have the paint pots? Thanks!

  • hey Lanie - I use both! Both are great in my opinion. BUT if i really want the eyeshadow to become really LONGWEAR, then UDPP is my weapon of choice.

  • amazing as always koren, just a quick question. im always scared of those concealer pallets because i think i wont blend it properly? lol any tips? or does it just take practice?

  • it just takes a little practice - BEST is to apply standing back from the mirror, then come closer to blend and smooth out.

  • would i blend using a sponge or a foundation brush?

  • you can use a sponge to blend, just make sure you replace often. Brush is good to, and you can wash. For undereye, you can use a clean finger in rolling motion. Watch my Concealing Undereye Darkening video to see what I mean.

  • THANKS KOREN! youre the greatest and SUCH a talented artist!! i always learn so much from your videos. Thanks for your advice, and Im looking forward to more vids!:)

  • First of all, you are just super! Thanks for your expertise. Out of curiousity could you put together a kit for oily/combination/imperfect skin?

  • hi enkore! for the FIX+ i was wondering if i wanted to set my foundation should i spray it directly to my face or should i spray it on a brush and apply it to my face? thanks

  • use it as a final finishing spray, once you completed your look. If youre using mineralized skinfinish as brush, you can spray fix+ on your brush and you can get more color for the product.

  • i got two styli-style liners, and they won't even write on my lids..any tips? thanks!

  • hey Mandi -- sharpen it. They tend to have harden wax when new. So once you sharpen and shave a few layers they will be soft.

  • ooh..lol..sorry for the dumb question..hehe..thanks!

  • where do u buy the urban decay thing plz tell need it badly

  • Sephora

  • Ulta also sells the UDPP.

  • Styli-Style: DO NOT BUY. This stuff stings my eyes. I am going to stick with high end brands. And my water line is watery, and it does not stay on. I heard that water resistant pencils should be used on waterline.

  • I LOVE YOU!!! <333 You are my god.

  • Where can you get Styli-Stylist?

  • Styli-Style is usually found at local drugstore chains. Iget mine at Harmon's in the east coast and I have seen them at CVS and such. Might wanna google and see other retailers.

  • thanks so much!! i just bought 3 Styli-Stylist eyeliners today and i just love it. It's really like what you said, it doesn't smudge much and last a long time. AND it's soft. Thanks a bunch. ^________________^

  • Yeay Lis!!!

  • Arent these mineralize blushes LE ? :S

  • Yes, unfortunately.

  • aww too bad :(

Thanks for replying ! You rule :)

  • thanks for the tips Koren ^_^

  • urban decay primer potion, is this better than MAC eyeshadow primer?

  • absolutely!

  • I *heart* UDPP....it's the absolute BEST! Koren...I love you for these videos! You are the BEST!

  • I got UDPP yesterday and made a swatch on my hand with it underneath and I had to scratch it with my fingernail to wash it off. LOL.

  • Koren blinks more than Tyra! Damn

  • I love your icon! Thanx for all the info on longlasting products :)

  • Thanks for the vids :D keep'em coming :P and yeah enough with the Halloween stuff hehehehe

  • Koren, once again you are a wealth of information! Thanks for the props =)

  • Hey everyone! -- She designed my Icon! Thanks Em!

  • very informative thank you!

  • cool icon!

thanks for the info, very valuable ;D

  • Products Featured list has been added to the INFO section - click on more! FAQ seemed to be what spray I used to set at the end... FIX+ Spray.

  • Thank for this guide, very interesting products. I have only two questions.

1.- What is the spay that you use all over the face at the end?

2.- What are the makeup removers or cleansers that you can recommend for that kind of longwear cosmetics?.

By the way, your new icon is genial.

  • 1 -Fix+ Spray

2 -MAC wipes for general, Olive Oil/Cleanse off oil for Styli-Style, Liquidlast. Maybelline SuperAway for SypuerStay Stuff.

    (video on removers coming soon)

  • Thank you! ^.^

  • Yay! So glad you are going to do a video on removers :)

  • what do you spray on your face at the end? i missed it.

  • Fix+ Spray

  • on the styli-style lip liner, are they numbered or have color names? if numbered, what number would you recommend that comes as close as possible to MAC's "mahogany," "whirl," and "cork" liners (those are my staple lip liners)?

  • hey Gez - Oh gosh Styli-Style have a LOT of colors! they have number and name reference. Closest to Whirl - its 1106 NUDE. Closest to Cork is #1105 HONEY.

  • perfect!! these are the regular line and seal pencils, right? not the square one or the liquid one?

  • Yep - line and seal!

  • Koren, thank you so much for all of your tips. I'm inspired.

  • Koren, I have one question. A few years back here in London we were able to buy the brand "Tony and Tina". Since Sephora closed down all the stores in the UK (terrible tragedy!) I have not been able to get the Tony and Tina brand anywhere in the UK. Are Tony and Tina still around in the US? I was unable to find a website for them. They used to make amazing glitters...

  • Ive seen the brand - but I have not seen them around here in the US - or perhaps I was just not looking for that brand. Has any one seen this brand around???

  • I remember tony and tina cosmetics. Sorry, but the brand doesn't exist any more.

  • Koren... Brilliantly made video with very useful information. I love all products you recommend, they seem fantastic. I already have two of them (She-Laq and the Urban Decay primer). I love the Stila eyeliner. Do you think this eyeliner will stay in the waterlines or will it come off like others do?

Thanks for all your help and for this great video!

Thank you so much for this video, which now goes to one of my favourites!

  • hey Sandra - Styli-style DOES stay on waterline. At least in my case, I have stubborn waterline that rejects products. This and Technakohl are the only one that does, but techkohl doesnt stay longwear on my case.

  • Oh, Koren this is wonderful news! Thank you. I don't have stubborn waterlines but the eyeliner usually comes off after a few minutes, so I definitely need to get this product. Thanks xx

  • Thanks again for the videos Koren!

I love liquidlast (even better than fluidline for my oily lids) but it takes me forever to do a proper line when I use the black one which seems to be more goopy.

Do you use the applicator it comes with? cause I can't do thin lines with it. Do you have any tips/recs for brushes, etc? thanks so much! :)

  • I NEVER us the applicator it came with -- so hard to control, and Im pretty good in lining. Try using a #208, #209, and (believe it or not) #311. Those are the ones I use. Try not to stick the brush inside the bottle, jut pick the color from the applicator instead.

  • Urban decay primer potion is the best thing for eyeshadow invented!! I love it! Its a must!

What about Mac Bare Canvas paint? Could that be a substitute?

I always have to order my urban primer online.
