As for Benny's "shyness" about playing in New York [1:13]- again, dramatic license for the sake of the movie {Benny supposedly "conquers" New York by playing Carnegie Hall at the end}.

great clip even though fictional. L.H. really makes a fast costume change. I love Lionel Hampton. No one in this scene eats their chile.
